CW NETWORK PRESIDENT DAWN OSTROFF BLATANTLY LIES ABOUT CHRIS BENOIT'S
ASSOCIATION WITH SMACKDOWN!

By Matthew Cooper
[email protected]

CW Network President Dawn Ostroff was interviewed by the uber-powerful entertainment insider publication VARIETY, and blatantly lied about the network's association with Chris Benoit.
==

Variety reported the following:
In light of WWE wrestler Chris Benoit's murder-suicide, Ostroff said the tragedy hasn't affected its involvement with "Friday Night Smackdown."
For one thing, Benoit was never featured on "Smackdown." Beyond that, Ostroff said she believed the WWE remained "good partners."
"They've been responsible with the programming they give to us," she said.
==

"Benoit not featured on Smackdown" is the most blatant, brazen lie I've seen a network exec state in a long time. He had been on Smackdown until 2 weeks before the murders, when he was then drafted to ECW.
www.wrestlingnewsdesk.com  has posted an article pointing out Ostroff's attempt to mislead the public, which you can read here:  http://wrestlingnewsdesk.com/news/story311.html

I have attempted to get a comment from Ms. Ostroff for the past two days, and will continue in my attempts for our internet radio show.

The WWE has an update on Edge's surgery on his torn left pectoral muscle.
I have a feeling we might not see Edge back until the beginning of 2008, or at the earliest December 2007.

SAW - WWE RATINGS HIT THE MAT
Ratings for Worldwide Wrestling's WWE Raw on USA Networks, which had been expected to soar during an elaborate plotline that saw WWE Chairman Vince McMahon supposedly killed in a limousine explosion, have gone in the opposite direction. Daily Variety observed today (Tuesday) that overall ratings for the Monday-night two-hour show have dropped 10 percent while ratings among males 18-49 dropped 19 percent. Worse yet, ratings among males 18-34 dropped 28 percent. The plunge was attributed to the real-life murder-suicide of wrestler Chris Benoit and his wife and son. Subsequently McMahon appeared at a tribute to Benoit, and the "Vince Is Dead" publicity campaign was put on hold (or perhaps canceled altogether).

This was brought to my attention by a commercial I just viewed on Channel 7.  The commercial was talking about the abuse of STEROIDS, and the side effects it causes.
The commercial showed basketball, softball, soccer balls all being deflated.

What are their short-term effects?
Reports indicate that use of anabolic steroids produces increases in lean muscle mass, strength, and ability to train longer and harder. Many health hazards of short-term effects are reversible. The major effects of anabolic steroid use include liver tumors, jaundice, fluid retention, and high blood pressure. Additional side effects include the following: for men shrinking of the testicles, reduced sperm count, infertility, baldness, development of breasts; for women growth of facial hair, changes in or cessation of the menstrual cycle, deepened voice; for adolescents growth halted prematurely through premature skeletal maturation and accelerated puberty changes. Researchers report that users may suffer from paranoid jealousy, extreme irritability, delusions, and impaired judgment stemming from feelings of invincibility.

This has become a GROWING problem in teenagers:

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY: First Benoit Book Out from ECW in October

On page 24 of today's NY Daily News, on top of where it says "Voice Of The People" there's a cartoon sketch. It has David Stern [which his name's written on his shirt] holding a "NBA 'Fix' Scandal" sign. Next to him are 2 wrestlers, the first 1 is wearing a mask, on his tights it says WWF & he's asking Stern "Wanna be commissioner of our league?". Next to him is another wrestler with face paint of sorts on his face.
Here is the cartoon, initials should say WWE, not WWF...
