NEW YORK -- On the heels of weaker-than-hoped boxoffice revenue for its third feature, "The Condemned," World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. said Thursday that it will focus on direct-to-video releases over the near-term. During the sports entertainment powerhouse's first-quarter earnings call, CEO Linda McMahon said that while the WWE film team will continue to evaluate all sorts of scripts, no theatrical features are planned.

Tim Ash's wrestling figures collection will be in the WWE Magazine June 2007 issue.  WOW !!  What a collection...

I have been helping JAKKS Pacific get some wrestlers' phone numbers.  Looks like we will be seeing an Arnold Skaaland figure, Rock N Roll Express figures, B. Brian Blair in the future.  Much more coming soon.  I would still love to see an Owen Hart figure, wish the McMahon's and Martha Hart would make that happen.  For those of you who saw the forum, Bret was so excited when he saw the Owen custom figure that one of the fans made and gave him.  I miss Owen's smile and laughter.  He was one of a kind.

I received a note from Superstar Billy Graham informing me that his News Conference was postponed until today.  He has reached out to a dear friend, a man he met only one week after he arrived in this country in 1968 and became his body building partner immediately, the Governor of the state of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and he has reached out to Senator John Mc Cain, to help him lead the battle charge against the discrimination of the disabled.

May 3, 2007 - Thursday

Finally... I have come home (For one day at least)

Wow. Just wow. It feels like I have been gone for months. First there was Mexico, then there was Wrestlemania, then there was Europe--my last six weeks have been a blur. As I sit here in my lovely yet untidy abode hanging with Lucas, I'm reminiscing about how much was packed into my last two weeks. The Wrestlemania Revenge tour of Europe was a nonstop ride. For those of you who don't know, I wrestled everyday in a different European city for almost two weeks. It was absolutely brutal on my body. But the good news is this--Jeff and I are still the World Tag Team Champions. Hell yeah! Everyday Jeff and I busted our asses in the ring, giving as much entertainment as we could to each fan. I stand wholeheartedly by this remark--I feel like Jeff and Matt Hardy are the most exciting tag team of all time.

We started the trip by flying from Raleigh to New York's JFK airport. Once we would arrive in New York, we would take a charter flight over to Europe the next morning. On that day, weather was extremely bad in New York. The airlines weren't sure if we were going to be able to fly into New York that day due to all the weather problems. Jeff and I sat in the Raleigh airport for seven hours that day--until we were finally released to go to JFK. If our flight would have been cancelled, we would've had to make the eleven hour drive to New York just to make the charter. Needless to say, we finally made it to JFK airport. We then flew to Italy were we wrestled in front of the diehard Italian WWE fans. The Raw and Smackdown television shows that we did in Milan were amazing. I wanna thank all the great MFer's and JFer's (Jeff Followers, Ha!) for the overwhelming responses we got while there. We also had one helluva celebration for the new Intercontinental Champion the night after Raw in Milan (mainly for us though, lol). After 5 days of WWE action in Italy that was so hot we would have had to put it out with a fire extinguisher--we headed to Germany. I'm a big fan of Germany, so I enjoyed our five day stay there. After several successful World Tag Team Title defenses, we had a really memorable match in Oberhausen. Myself, Jeff, and HBK teamed up in a successful win against Edge, Cade, and Murdoch. You haven't seen anything until you've seen a Poetry in Motion followed by a Twist of Fate followed by Sweet Chin Music follow by a Swanton. It blew the roof off of the arena in Oberhausen. It was an extremely fun and exciting match to be part of. We left Germany and headed to England, where we ended up doing Raw and Smackdown again. For those of you who sent "get well soon" messages and comments after my April 23rd match on Raw, thanks! I had my head smashed into the ring post and was virtually unconscious for a couple of minutes. But you guys know me--I take a licking and keep on ticking because I will not die in any form or fashion. We finished the tour in London with an untelevised match on April 24th. Jeff and I defended our titles successfully against the tough and talented team of Helms and Chavo. On Wednesday the 25th I finally came home... for two days!

On the morning of Saturday the 28th, Jeff and I flew to Atlanta and had a tremendous appearance. We had a mob scene at our signing and stayed an extra hour or so to try and meet as many of the people as we could. After the appearance, Jeff and I had a chance to check out the Silver Scream Spook Show, which featured our old friend/enemy Amy Dumas. It was alot of fun. The actually Spook Show was followed by the old classic, "The Creature From the Black Lagoon." It's quite amazing how much movies have changed throughout the years. On Sunday, Jeff and I had a huge tag title defense at Backlash against Cade and Murdoch. In what I feel was probably the best match Cade and Murdoch have ever wrestled, Jeff and I successfully defended out titles. After the PPV, we had to go straight to Nashville and were up bright and early to do a photoshoot for the WWE magazine. Jeff picked up a big win on Monday against Johnny Neptune (sorry, I meant Nitro), and I headed to Birmingham for a Smackdown event. Make sure to tune in this Friday as I'll be competing on Smackdown in a big match. I have one day home (which is today, Thursday), and I'll be back out on the road. There's definitely no rest for the weary when you're competing on both WWE brands full time.

I'm as happy professionally as I've ever been--and I feel like 2007 is my year. I really feel like I'm starting to put all the pieces of the puzzle together. As the majority of you guys know, I've never given up on my dreams. I refuse to. Hard work truly pays off, I believe that with all my heart. It's been so awesome to be the tag champs with Jeff again--I'm worked to death but I'm having a great time. To achieve you must believe. I still believe and I will still achieve. I hope the same for each and every one of you who's reading this now. Be well, and until then...
Matt

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla ends agreement with TNA Wrestling
By Silverback, PWG Staff Writer
Los Angeles, CA - Generally, the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com) news releases have been light-hearted yet informative, however that will not be the case on this occasion. Since our humble beginnings in July 2003, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has booked employees of TNA Wrestling to appear on our shows, in what can only be considered a successful relationship for all parties involved. Both companies experienced tremendous growth during this time period, admittedly with Pro Wrestling Guerrilla aided infinitely more so by TNA Wrestling than the other way around, and the relationship between the two companies has been affable. On April 24, 2007, TNA Wrestling presented Pro Wrestling Guerrilla with a contract that would prevent TNA Wrestling employees from appearing on DVDs sold through or distributed by any third parties. Because this would include long-time partner Highspots.com, as of May 3, 2007, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has severed all ties with TNA Wrestling.

Since February 2004, Highspots.com has been a major contributor to the success of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, by helping us to increase the popularity of our company through Highspots.com production and distribution of our DVDs. Since TNA Wrestling presented us with the contract on April 24, we have considered every possible solution, from opting out of our contract with Highspots.com, self distribution of events featuring TNA Wrestling employees (both of which, to their credit, Highspots.com was agreeable with), to releasing DVDs without the matches of TNA Wrestling employees through Highspots.com. Each solution, except one, was either financially irresponsible, meant higher costs for the fans, or would greatly compromise the quality of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla as a whole. Therefore, we have been forced to end our business relationship indefinitely.

Because of this situation, TNA Wrestling employees Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley will not be appearing at Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's DDT4 Tag Team Title Tournament on May 19 & 20. We at Pro Wrestling Guerrilla would like to apologize to Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, who along with Frankie Kazarian, were not simply employees, but part of the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla family. We would also like to apologize to Samoa Joe, Low Ki, AJ Styles, and Christopher Daniels, whom we had booked for upcoming Pro Wrestling Guerrilla events. We would also like to thank Homicide, Austin Aries, Petey Williams, and all those previously mentioned for their hard work and professionalism as Pro Wrestling Guerrilla wrestlers.

And most importantly, we would like to apologize to our fans, who have come to enjoy seeing TNA employees both at our live events and on our DVDs. Your appreciation and support gave the TNA employees a chance to wrestle at a level they often time are unable to. We hope you can understand that this was not an easy decision to make, but we did what we feel was best for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla now, and in the future. Later today, we will provide updated information regarding the DDT4 Tag Team Title Tournament, including the last team, more non-tournament matches, and the final DDT4 first round matches!

BODYSLAM Wrestling Invades Garfield High School!!
The BODYSLAM Wrestling Organization returns on Friday Night, May 11, 2007 to Garfield High School on 125 Outwater Lane in Garfield, NJ with a 7 PM bell time. The Main Event will feature quite possibly the last and most brutal match between Chaos and Richie Rotten as they take on each other inside of a CHAOS CAGE! Here is the press release concerning this very match.
BODYSLAM Wrestling Organization announced on April 14th, 2007 the signing of  match to take place May 11th, 2007 between long time rivals Richie Rotten and Chaos. Following interference by Richie Rotten which caused Chaos to lose a BWO World Championship match on April 14th, 2007 BODYSLAM wrestling officially sanctioned a match, scheduled for May 11th, 2007 between the two men.
Previously, BODYSLAM Wrestling Organization had placed a ban that prohibited Chaos and Richie Rotten from altercations at the BWO. After an incident last December during a "
Texas Bull Rope Match" in which an individual not involved in the match was injured when the melee spilled out of the ring and into the crowd, the ban was put in place to protect the safety of the fans, as well as the BWO staff.
Earlier this week, a BWO Official commented;
"We are confident that the safety of our staff and fans will be protected on May 11th, 2007 as Richie Rotten and Chaos will be locked inside of the Chaos Cage for the duration of their match. It is for this reason that we have agreed to sanction this match."
At this time, no official announcement has been made regarding what a Chaos Cage is, or what the rule set of such a match may be. More information will be posted at
http://www.BODYSLAMwrestling.com as it becomes available.
Also in action BWO United States Champion "The Lone Wolf" Evan Myers continues his feud with "The Modern Day Enforcer" Eric Cooper as they battle it out again for the title. In their last altercation, Myers was disqualified after he used a steel chair that was brought into the ring by Cooper. Myers vows revenge. You don't want to miss this folks. It could get ugly.
The brand new BWO World Heavyweight Champion, Draven Blaze defends his newly won title against the very popular Section 8.
Also scheduled to appear:
Former BWO World Champion, Corvis Fear, La Familia, Steve "The Jerk" Off, Cole Calloway, Brandon Harris, Chrono Chris, BWO Tag Team Champions Johnny Cockstrong and Soy Boy, Dr. Callahan, Vince Steel and many others
The BWO would also like to apologize to it's fans, as we have regrettably had to cancel our May 4th show scheduled to take place at Bergen County
Technical High School in Teterboro.
All tickets for May 4th will be honored by the BWO for either May 11th at Garfield High School, or May 12th when we return home to the Pioneer Club in Hasbrouck Heights NJ.
ALL tickets are $10 and can be ordered/reserved by calling
973-473-1599 or going to our website at www.BODYSLAMWrestling.com
