WrestleReunion Promoter Sal Corrente Issues Statement on behalf of "The Mouth of The South" Jimmy Hart at his request
In regards to the Fan Fest scheduled for April 13-15th 2007 Jimmy Hart had agreed to appear if his schedule allowed. He had been contacted by Dennis Condrey who explained that there was a Jim Cornette Tribute involved. Since Jimmy Hart has known and worked with Jim Cornette for many many years and has a tremendous amount of affection and respect for Jim, he said he would make all attempts to appear at the Roast. However, as of late Jimmy's schedule has been very full. He was on the road with Hulk and Brooke Hogan for eighteen days on her tour. He has just finished filming a Bud Light Commercial with Hulk that is expected to be shown during the Super Bowl and he is shooting the pilot for his new Reality Series called "The Next Big Thing".
On January 7th, 2007, Dennis Condrey called Jimmy Hart to tell him that Jim Cornette had no intention of appearing at the event any longer. With that Jimmy said please remove my name from consideration. After that Jimmy found out that it was also announced that he had issued one of his DJ Challenges to a man named Dan Joyce, a DJ for local radio station in Virginia. This could not be further from the truth. Jimmy had no intention of appearing in any other role at the Fan Fair than to be at the roast honoring Jim Cornette and perhaps an autograph signing.
As someone who works with Jimmy Hart on a regular basis, I can tell you that it is near impossible for Jimmy to commit to any indy event six months in advance so it was never even a firm commitment. However, Jimmy did want to be there to honor Jim Cornette, a man whom we both enjoy working with and who was an integral part of WrestleReunion 1 and 2. I am not aware of any of the specifics that went on with the cancellation of Fan Fair. I can only tell you that I have been in contact with Jimmy Hart almost every day since he agreed to appear at the first WrestleReunion in October of 2004 and that he was not scheduled to do anything other than appear at the Roast.
As someone who has promoted the largest Wrestling Conventions that have ever been held, let me say that they are very ambitious projects to say the least. There are many personalities involved and one has to be a master at handling them and have a tremendous support staff to be able to pull off the project. It is by no means a part time thing.
In reflection, I would like to take this time to personally thank everyone who participated in WrestleReunion 1 and 2 and our event in Davie, Florida. I would also like to publicly thank Diamond Dallas Page and Bill Apter for hosting our events and using their talent and influence to make the events a reality when everyone said it couldn't happen. I want to thank Rob Russen for all of the work he did with the day to day activities and for using his influence with Diamond Dallas Page to convince him that WrestleReunion was a project that would actually happen and that he should be involved. I want to very clearly and publicly say that without "The Mouth of The South"Jimmy Hart and Tom Prichard the one of a kind wrestling events would have been a night out of control.
I also want to thank a bunch of my friends, many of them life long, who knew nothing about the wrestling business but came to Tampa to help with a vision that has grown out of control. I knew one thing when I put together an event like this, that I needed people I could trust and in times like that you look to long term friends. So with that being said thanks go out to Nick Iarriccio, Sal Toscano, Brian Holter, Richard Jarvis, Gene and Tonya Ligon, Ray and Sharon Courts, Jerry and Angie Beetz. Tom and Kimberly Beetz, Nick Ferrara and Chauncey Weir.
At this time I can not tell you when WrestleReunion 3 will take place or if WrestleReunion 3 will take place. I also cannot 100% tell you that the video's produced at our numerous events will ever be released for sale to the general public other than the four shoot interviews already available through Highspots.com. Which leads me to thank Michael Bochicchio of Highspots.com who really stepped up to the plate when my partner Tony Hunter decided he did not want to be involved any longer.
I also would like to thank Anthony Attanasio for coming to the rescue and making what appeared to be a problem turn into something that will also be remembered as one of the greatest weekends in wrestling history and perhaps the greatest weekend in idy wrestling history.
In closing let me thank the many wrestlers who came out of retirement to appear at the events and helped create many magic moments for the fans. I believe that you all know who you are. My staff and I thank you and I assure you that everyone in attendance for those events thanks you as well for all the special moments, magic and dreams you made come true by participating in our WrestleReunion events.

National Wrestling Superstars, fresh off a record-breaking 65 events in 2006, kicks off 2007 in a big way on Friday night, January 19th, at 7:45pm at the Manville VFW Hall, 600 Washington Avenue (just off Main Street, minutes from Routes 22 and 287).
First there are two WWE legends in the likes of Brutus The Barber Beefcake who has issued an open challenge to anyone in the NWS locker room to accept a "loser gets a haircut match". Then Salvatore Sincere has accepted the challenge of Draven, the Indian Warrior, who was attacked by Sincere at an NWS event in Long Branch in December.
But the topper on the evening will be two specialty matches which will be "can't misses".
The first is a Manville Strap Match pitting TNT against his former partner Ice Pick Lowinski. This feud has been brewing for over a year and both wrestlers are promising to use the strap to hurt the other.
But the event that all indy wrestling will be talking about is a first ever Ladders, Tables and Chairs match pitting J-Cup winner Deranged against NWS Junior Heavyweight champion Gavin Quest and former champion Corvis Fear.

RQW to save the Great Muta's UK debut
York Hall becomes the site of UK wrestling history on January 12th
After 48 hours of continual negotiations the Great Muta's UK debut has been
saved from total cancellation. The ground breaking event was scheduled to
take place at the Doncaster Dome next Saturday under the 1PW banner, but
due to the shocking news of the company's liquidation yesterday all plans were
thrown up in the air. With the Japanese wrestling legends flight booked
along with the flights of over 10 more All Japan wrestlers, journalists
and crew something had to be done to save the UK scene from receiving a
massive and public black eye.
UK Supershow promoter Alex Shane began talks with 1PW owner Steven
Gauntley in order to try and work out what could be done at such short notice.

UK Supershow promoter Alex Shane began talks with 1PW owner Steven
Gauntley in order to try and work out what could be done at such short notice.
Shane approached RQW promoter Len Davies with the proposal of changing the plans for his January 12th York Hall taping in order to give UK fans and the
Japanese contingent an arena to see the Japanese wrestling icon in the UK.
After going back and forth all night with the negotiations Len Davies has
managed to pull off what seemed like the impossible.
On Friday January 12th 2006, the Great Muta will make his European debut
at the prestigious York Hall in Bethnal Green, East London.
All tickets bought for the 1PW show will be honoured at this event so that
anyone who has bought a ticket to see one of Japans most important
performers of the last 20 years will still be able to. Fans must bring their 1PW tickets to the door. We will do our best to ensure that those fans with higher prices ringside tickets to the 1PW event receive the same type of seats here. For us to do this we require all ringside ticket holders to arrive at 5.50pm to get these seats. As the capacity is only 1,200 people we urge fans to arrive early to get the best seats as they are on a first come first serve basis.
For RQW fans who have bought tickets we apologise for any changes made to
the original card. We have had to make changes to the planned event but
are confident that fans will be happy with the new line up.
Main Event Non Title Contest
The Great Muta Vs Martin Stone (RQW Champion)
International Dream Match
Davey Richards Vs PAC
RQW Tag Team Title Tournament 1st round matches
"The Phoenix" Jody Fleisch and Jonny Storm Vs Andy Simmonz and Aviv Maayan
