AFA Jr  officially signs with WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT!
It is with great pleasure and pride that we officially announce the signing of "Samoan Storm" AFA Jr. to a three year contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. Following in the footsteps of his father, AFA THE WILD SAMOAN, his brother THE GREAT SAMU, his cousins , former WWE Megastar THE ROCK, former World Heavyweight Champion the late YOKOZUNA, Rikishi, Rosey, Tonga Kid, and the "Samoan BILLDOZER" UMAGA, and many other successful relatives, it is anticipated that the 22 year-old "Samoan Storm" will blossom into yet another true superstar.
 
Contracts were finalized mere days ago, and Afa Jr. will now be heading to Deep South Wrestling, the Georgia-based developmental facility for the WWE, as he prepares to make his WWE debut. With destiny AND genetics on his side, Afa Jr began training for the squared circle at an early age, wrestling his first match in Vienna, Austria at the tender age of 13. Eventually becoming a staple of WXW, he went on to win almost every title in the company including the WXW Heavyweight Championship, all while simultaneously attending and playing football for the University of Connecticut. Earlier this fall, the "Samoan Storm" was summoned to the Deep South Wrestling School for a week of training and evaluation. Shortly thereafter, the consensus was clear: Afa Jr. was ready to take the next big step in becoming a WWE superstar.

Afa Jr. certainly won't be in unfamiliar territory in Deep South, as fellow WXW alumni such as TOMMY SUEDE and KRISSY VAINE are already plying their trade at the facility under WWE contract. In fact, the knowledge, experience, and tradition found at WXW's WILD SAMOAN TRAINING CENTER has led countless athletes (such as WWE's BATISTA and GENE SNITSKY) to stardom, and the school's reputation has undoubtedly given the WWE a continued reason to turn to us for surefire stars of the future (For more information on the Wild Samoan Training Center, visit our web site www.wildsamoan.com 

Certainly, second and third generation athletes have often achieved unparalleled greatness in our sport. In doing so, they have often been able to not only reach the bar set by their predecessors, but RAISE it to a whole new level. WWE.com has officially announced that starting the day after Christmas this year, ECW will no longer be holding their own house shows anymore. Instead, ECW will now be working combined events with the Smackdown-brand. Here is a sample from the article WWE.com released about this decision: "WWE officials have announced that as of Dec. 26, SmackDown Superstars and ECW Extremists will be touring together for live events. Officials say that this is a great opportunity for WWE and ECW fans alike to experience the unparalleled action of both brands combined Sources say that WWE officials were concerned because the attendance at some of the ECW live events hasn't been as strong as initially projected." The article also has quotes from Paul Heyman who says that the reason they are doing the combined shows is because since the new ECW is still early in it's relaunch, they just don't have the resources and budget to stand up to the levels of Raw & SD shows.
