Joking about serious issues...

I don't have internet on my computer at home...yet...

I can get on the Internet on my phone and I was able to read some of the messages and what not people were asking me about the accident.

Even with the accident, I worked Fri, Sat and Sunday.  When I got home late Sunday night I was talking to my buddy Kip who was on the Internet.  For all my fans, you know my sense of humor and how much I like to have a laugh.  Well...Please understand that my (non-wrestling) friends are probably 10x worse.

So I figured, instead of waiting to go to the Library or my parents house, I just asked him to type up my Blog for me, word for word as I told him.  Well...he did...but he decided to add a part about my toe which wasn't true.

After the accident I had told him how I was driving barefoot and had bruised my foot.  We thought it'd be funny to say that I got my left pinky toe amputated.  Obviously, I told him not to put it in there....Well...He did.  When people started to talk about it I had asked him to change it, but he didn't do such a great job of it.  He doesn't really understand how big our "little wrestling world" is, so he didn't see it as anything more than something to make him and my buddies laugh.

I was pissed off when everyone kept asking me about my toe, but now that I'm at my parents house writing this, I kinda laugh about it.

Everything in that last Blog was completely the facts.  It was a very scary moment in my life and I have constant thoughts about not only my life, but being responsible for the lives of others.  Its completely changed my outlook on life and everyday things that I can do that I might take for granted.

Buckle up kids and don't believe everything you read on the internet.

Your 10 toe'd friend

Road Warrior...Broken Cars...

Hi.

I've gotten more comments and questions about an accident I had than I have gotten "When you going to WWE...When you going to TNA...Blah blah blah..."

So here's the straighten upper....

I was driving back to Chicago with Adam Pearce and Dave Prazak after the ROH Dayton show.  Although some people consider Adam a "rulebreaker" in ROH, I have zero beef with him when it comes to ROH.  My focus WAS completely on tagging with Jimmy and now is on making him pay...but that's a whole different story.

It had been raining all weekend.  We hit a wet patch and all I can say is the car started hydroplaning.  I was driving my car.  I tried to turn the wheel back but by this time it had gone out of control.  Luckily everyone had their seatbelt on.  The car did a bunch of rotations sideways, no flipping.  We crashed into the median 4 or 5 times.  Luckily, no cars hit us from behind or were involved in an accident.

The car was wrecked and we're taken to the hospital.  I, like an idiot always drive with no shoes, actually mashed my small left pinky toe.  Sillyness, I know.  Adam, Dave and I were all treated for back and neck pains.

We all came to Chicago the next day in a rental through my insurance.  We all hurt, but we're all in the business we love the most.  And not a car accident or anything would stop me from wrestling for ROH in Chicago.

Last I talked to the other guys, they were seeking medical treatment from thier personal doctors, so I can't speak much for them.  For me, I'm sore and toeless, but I have my life, which is most important.

There's been a lot of deep-thinking since that happened.  At the end of the day, I'm a pro wrestler.  I do and I've done what I love.  Each day forward is another day to do something special.  I'll see ya'll at the matches...keep supporting pro wrestling.

cheers

Colt Cabana
