WWE Smackdown Live
Sunday, September 10th, 2006
Mohegan Sun Arena * Uncasville, CT
Att:  est. 4,000

Scotty Too Hotty def. Jamie Noble
(This was a "dark" match.  Kristall Marshall was the
ring announcer and her first error of the night was
introducing Scotty from Massachusetts instead of Maine.
Kid Kash's interference backfired allowing Scotty to
get the roll up win)

Marshall started to introduce the Cruiserweight Title
Match but forgot to wait for the Smackdown opening.
The usual TV open, music and pyro played with no
announcers at ringside.

WWE Cruiserweight Title Match
Gregory Helms def. Jimmy Yang
(The cowboy gimmick was over, it's so bad that it's
funny)

WWE Tag Team Title Match
Brian Kendrick & Paul London def. Idol Stevens & KC
James
(Marshall rang the bell before the three count.  A
solid match, but the fans couldn't have cared less
about any of their efforts)

Sylvester Terkay def. Tatanka

Booker T & Sharmell were interviewed backstage by the
Miz.  While the interview took place, the previous
match was playing on the TV behind them.

Diva Dance Off
Ashley def. Jillian & Leyla & Kristal
(MVP hosted the dance off for free because Smackdown
has the sexiest women on television.  Never heard that
line before. Jillian turned on Ashley after her
victory, another pointless heel turn that nobody cared
about, similar to her face turn a few months back)

Vito def. William Regal
(the less said the better)

Ashely def. Jillian
(way too many diva's on this card)

WWE US Championship Triple Threat Match
Mr. Kennedy def. Bobby Lashley & Fit Finlay
(Finlay moved out of the way of Lashley charging him in
the corner.  Kennedy rolled up Finlay and used Lashley
for leverage instead of the ropes.  Finlay was a
crimson mask)

WWE Heavyweight Championship
Rey Mysterio def. Booker T via DQ
(not much of a match.  Mysterio was headed to the top
rope for a frog splash and Chavo rushed the ring and
pushed him off.  Fans chanted for Batista.  After the
bout, Mysterio hit a double 619 on Chavo & Booker
followed by a frog splash on Chavo)

Not a bad card but a huge lack of star power.  At the
concession stand, they were pushing Undertaker, Batista
and DX t-shirts, none of them were to be found in
Uncasville.  When Bobby Lashley is the second biggest
baby on the card, you have to wonder how the folks that
spent $40 on tickets felt leaving the building.  WWE
should have at least posted a line-up on-line.
