Matches already signed
Main Event:
“All Around Best” Xavier vs. “Superstar” JD Michaels
If one were to describe JD Michaels with a single word, odds are that cocky
would be it. After surviving two other opponents in a hard-hitting 3-way
dance at City Limits, Michaels’ ego has been running wild. That big win has
placed him right in the main event this time around against the red hot
Xavier. At City Limits, Xavier literally tore the house down with the
devious Grim Reefer. Looking to continue his streak of big wins, Xavier has
his sights set on JD Michaels. Xavier needs to realize that JD will have
the lovely but dangerous April Hunter watching his back. April Hunter has
proven to be a huge distraction at ringside and she’s also not afraid to get
in the ring herself. Last time Xavier was fighting for his son Christian,
but this time it’s solely about the competition that both men drive on.
This one should be an explosive encounter.
Tag Team Grudge Match:
Backseat Boys (Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere) vs. SAT (Jose & Joel Maximo)
Shortly before City Limits began, the infamous members of Team Philly
attacked Jose Maximo and injured his leg. Jose Maximo never even made it
into the building. What was originally scheduled to be the Backseat Boys
vs. SAT saw Quiet Storm step it up and take Jose’s spot. While Joel Maximo
and Quiet Storm operated like a true tag team that had been together for
years, the experience and shrewd tactics of the Backseat Boys proved too
much to handle. All this time later, the Backseat Boys are still gloating
about their win at City Limits. What the Backseats forget to mention is
that they plotted with their pal Ashe Samuels and practically stole the
victory. They also forget to mention the Storm Cradle Driver that Ashe was
a recipient of after the match. This time around things will be different
when two of the best tag teams out there meet in the VPW ring. Expect lots
of fast-paced action when the SAT look for revenge against Philly’s Finest.
The rivalry between New York and Philly crashes head to head this Saturday
afternoon.
Rematch From City Limits:
Richie Tyler vs. ”The Silent Assassin” Sabotage w/ Anthony “Tony Canoli” DeBlasi
At City Limits, longstanding rivals Richie Tyler and Sabotage met up in the
opening match of the night. After having a great back and forth match,
Sabotage took the easy way out and placed his feet on the ropes while the
ref counted to three. Richie Tyler obviously felt cheated out of a big win
and immediately challenged Sabotage to a rematch. Tyler figured that now
he’d be prepared for an opponent who was willingly to fight dirty. What
Richie Tyler wasn’t prepared for was Sabotage employing some hired help in
the form of Howard Beach’s own Anthony DeBlasi. The “Silent Assassin” now
has someone much larger than him watching his back. Known as Tony Canoli
around the neighborhood, DeBlasi will apparently be serving as an insurance
policy of sorts for Sabotage. Richie Tyler has told VPW officials that he
is ready for Saturday despite Sabotage upping the ante. Tyler needs to stay
focused and not allow himself to get distracted.
Women’s Wrestling At Its Finest:
April Hunter vs. Alicia
April Hunter proved that she has the drive to see her man, JD Michaels, win
when she gave him a few big assists at the last event. Now it’s time for
her to step it up from ringside and get in the actual ring. April has
wrestled all over the world, but now it’s time for her to get into a VPW
ring. Her opponent will be an extremely popular favorite straight from New
Jersey, Alicia. Both ladies have something to prove and want to be seen on
the same level as their male counterparts. Don’t be fooled by their looks,
these ladies can hold their own. Fans of top ladies wrestling dare not miss
this one.
Papadon vs. Jason Static
This will be a battle between two natives of New York City. These two big
men are looking to establish themselves in VPW. Papadon is fresh off a long
tag team career as one half of the Solution. At City Limits, Papadon came
close, but could not defeat his opponent, Danny Demanto, possibly due to the
size difference between them. That loss has fueled Papadon and his
determination to prove himself. Standing in his way is Jason Static. This
Brooklyn native hasn’t been active in the New York scene and wants to make
an immediate impression on the fans. It looks like it’s going to come down
to which of them wants it more.
Tag Team Challenge:
Eclipse (Jay Delta & Xandar Page) w/ Jack O’Hearts vs. James Sullivan & Chopsaw
That loudmouth Jack O’Hearts simply hasn’t shut up since City Limits. He
was grinning from ear to ear after having a clean sweep. Wishing nothing
more than for his success to be repeated, Jack O’Hearts has had Eclipse
preparing extra hard for this weekend. While Eclipse may think they have an
easy ride based on their previous dominance that is not the case. This is
actually almost a rematch from City Limits. Last time James Sullivan teamed
up with DC Diamond, but they failed to get the job done. Looking to get
back at Eclipse, Sullivan has recruited a new partner to his cause, the
debuting Chopsaw. Not much is known about Chopsaw, but he is said to be a
real workingman of the people. Will this new combination see success? Or
will they be just another victim for Jack O’Hearts?
Four Corner Elimination:
Eug Perversion vs. DC Diamond vs. L.I. Kid vs. AC Carter w/ Jack O’Hearts
This should be a fast-paced, high-flying match between some of VPW’s younger
guns. All four of these have a lot to prove not only to each other, but to
the fans as well. Eug Perversion came close to victory last time, but fell
short. Will this speedy lightweight get the big win this time around? Then
there’s DC Diamond. Last time he tried going for the tag team approach, but
fell short. Now that he’s doing his own thing, will he have a different
turn of events? The third participant of this match is the L.I. Kid. L.I.
Kid got taken out far too early last show, but word has it that he’s been
training hard. Will that training pay off for him? Finally there is Jack
O’Hearts latest acquisition, the debuting AC Carter. Just like his manager,
Carter has been running his mouth all over New York. Will one of his
opponents shut him up? Or will Jack O’Hearts be gloating once again?
More matches to be announced at the show!!!
Other matches to include ”The Cold Hearted Playa” Danny Demanto, “The
Unprofessional” Ashe Samuels and the Grim Reefer & More!!! You never know
what’s going to happen at VPW!!!
VPW Scoops
In other VPW news, Bison Bravado has sent word to the VPW front office that
despite being victorious at the last event, he refuses to leave Philly on
June 17th. Bravado said that he will return to VPW at the next show, but
he’d rather stuff his face with cheese steaks than come into New York.
Grim Reefer has sent word that he’s not done with Xavier. He claims that
slapping Xavier in the face while he held his son was only the beginning of
it. Reefer said that he’s tired of doing things for the fans and from now
on in VPW he’s rolling alone.
At the last show, April Hunter was the only female in the spotlight. This
time around, New Jersey’s own Alicia will be making her VPW debut. From
what we’ve heard, April Hunter doesn’t seem too happy to be sharing the
spotlight. Let’s see what happens when these two ladies get in the ring.
Richie Tyler and Sabotage will be going at it one more time. When they last
met, Sabotage cheated to win, but he still won. This time around, Tyler
said things will be different and he’s going to be extra careful so he
doesn’t fall into any of the “Silent Assassin’s” tricks.
After missing the last VPW event due to Philly’s Finest attacking him before
he even made it to the building, Jose Maximo is ready to get revenge on the
Backseat Boys and their stooge, Ashe Samuels. Jose and Joel are both ready
and looking to make the Backseats pay for what they did last time. Joel
said that the only reason that he and Quiet Storm lost last time was because
they weren’t used to working as a team and because the Backseats cheated.
He said that now that his brother is back, nothing will stop the SAT.
Manager extraordinaire, Jack O’Hearts has been seen boasting all over Long
Island that his tandem of Eclipse are unbeatable and that they are the
future of wrestling. The rest of the VPW students haven’t taken kindly too
Jack O’Hearts words and it seems that his mouth has made him more enemies
than he needs. Jack O’Hearts also promised that he will debut a new talent
on June 17th.
Despite beating Grim Reefer cleanly in the middle of the ring, Xavier is
still furious that he was embarrassed in front of his son, Christian.
Security will have to be extra cautious backstage in order to keep those two
apart. The locker room was very tense last time and it got to the point
where the wrestlers from Philly had to be kept in a separate part of the
building. Who knows what could happen this time?
”The Cold Hearted Playa” Danny Demanto is looking to keep his winning
streak. His opponent hasn’t been named at this time, but anything can
happen in VPW so Demanto needs to be ready.
“The Unprofessional” Ashe Samuels had his head cracked open by a steel chair
being swung by Joel Maximo back in March. Ashe was also the recipient of a
Storm Cradle Driver from Quiet Storm. Will Ashe finally catch a break or
will it be another hard luck time from this member of Philly’s Finest?
Papadon was visibly angry at his loss to Danny Demanto at City Limits back
in March. This is not how he wanted to get his new singles career off to a
start. On June 17th, will Papadon take his rage out on someone and earn a
victory? Or will his anger cause him to lose focus?
After surviving an intense three-way dance at the last show, JD Michaels has
been bragging how he’s sailing a ship that goes straight to the top of VPW.
JD has been overheard saying that he is untouchable in the ring. Will a
strong enough wave come along that could tip his ship? Or will this young
star from Canada give everyone another reason to call him “Superstar?”
Brooklyn’s own, Jason Static, will be making his VPW debut on June 17th.
Static said that he wants to go where the competition is and everyone needs
to be ready.
