Storm Wrestling Academy^tm vs. ECW

I wasn’t going to get into this publicly, as I don’t like stooging off WWE business conversations, but as it turns out I have no choice. I’ve been getting a lot of email asking me if I will be joining the new ECW when WWE relaunches it this summer. There seems to be a lot of concern that this will effect the operation of Storm Wrestling Academy^tm. Students currently signed up are fearful that I may close up shop in order to return to ECW and if they’re thinking that, I would imagine this concern might also be deterring future student from signing up.

Let me assure all of those who have made a commitment to attend Storm Wrestling Academy^tm as well as those who are considering attending in the future, Storm Wrestling Academy^tm is my primary concern and will continue to operate as scheduled. I have put a lot of time, effort, and money into opening a facility I can be proud of and I plan to continue running what I consider to be the best wrestling training center out there.

I have students committed to my June and September sessions this year as well as students already signed up for January 2007. They have made a commitment to Storm Wrestling Academy^tm, and I intend to honour their commitment with my own. I have spoken with WWE about the ECW project and I have made my position very clear. I have some interest in being a part of this project but I am not willing to give up Storm Wrestling Academy^tm or all of my time at home with my family. I was completely serious (go figure) when I said I was retiring because I wanted to get off the road and be with my family. I do not wish to return to the road, and I will not give up my free time with my family easily.

Storm Wrestling Academy^tm is doing very well, and I plan to keep it as my primary focus. There is a chance I will play a role in future ECW projects but it will be done around or in consideration of my Storm Wrestling Academy^tm schedule. As much as I love the idea of an ECW rebirth and being a part of it, any role I have in it will have to be a limited one.

Lance Storm

Lance would be a great asset to ECW's roster, but he takes his responsibilities to his School very serious.   Besides he left WWE to spend more time with his family.  He would not consider returning full time, but he doesn't rule out working occasionally.
