ROH Chicago Ridge Illinois Report, Friday Night, over 1000 fans.  by Derek Burgan & Dr. Keith Lipinski

***Cornette started off show with anti-hardcore promo and said he would carry his baseball bat with him at all times for protection. Cornette introduced two hardcore wrestlers, saying he would give them an opportunity to have a match. Out came two undersized, masked wrestlers. One was wearing a CZW shirt and the other was a cheap plastic container. Cornette said he had two wrestlers from ROH who were ready for a match. Samoa Joe's music hit and the crowd went HOSS.

1. Adam Pearce & Samoa Joe defeated Two "Hardcore" Wrestlers in 58 seconds when Joe hit a one armed muscle buster, and Pearce went off the top rope and hit a frog splash.

2. 4 corner survival match: Ricky Reyes defeated Shane Hagedorn, Flash Fannigan, and Delirious in 6:53 when he made Delirious tap to the dragon sleeper - After the match Reyes tore into Delirious for being a "gimmick" and having no place in Ring of Honor.

3. Alex Shelley & Jimmy Rave defeated Claudio Castagnoli & Jimmy Yang in 16:04 after Rave pinned Claudio after a series of rollups. - Hundreds of rolls of toilet paper were thrown into the ring on Shelley and Rave's introduction. Fun match with decent comedy with Shelley and Rave.

4. Ace Steel defeated Chad Collyer in 11:51 after a tombstone onto a ROH metal guardrail brought into the ring, and then two harsh chair shots. Collyer now has a full head of hair. Match did not go over well with the crowd as compared to the rest of the card, but that could have more to do with the fact that both men aren't exactly ROH regulars.

5. Aj Styles & Matt Sydal defeated Austin Aries & Jack Evans in 17:43 after Sydal pinned Evans with his shooting star press. Very good match, but timing seemed to be off throughout until the last couple minutes. Finishing sequence is a must-see experience with Jack Evans attempting a handspring corkscrew hurricanrana onto Styles outside the ring, but was perfectly caught by Styles in position for the Styles Clash.

6. Do Fixer (Dragon Kid, Ryo Saito, and Genki Horiguchi) defeated Blood Generation (CIMA, Naruki Doi, and Masato Yoshino) in 20:35 when Dragon Kid pinned Doi with the Dragonrana. Words can not describe the seemingly 15 minute long finishing sequence that had everyone in attendence going out of their minds. Seriously, for five minutes straight everyone in attendance was on their feet for a match that completely tore down the house. Humongous "Please don't stop" chants.  Quite possibly the match of the weekend.

7. Shimmer 6 women's mayhem: MsChiff defeated Rain, Lacey, Daizee Haze, Allison Danger, Cheerleader Melissa in 8:43 when she pinned Rain with her arm DDT after misting Melissa. Everyone got their moves in, including Haze's legendary heart punch. Best women's match ever on an ROH show.

8. BONUS ATTRACTION~! Homicide killed Mitch Franklin with the cop killah in 2:12. Colt Cabana came out afterward with a ladder and rumbled with Homicide for a short while. Homicide ended up putting Cabana's head between the ladder and pummeled the ladder with a chair.

***As Cabana was being helped to the back, Chris Hero and Necro Butcher came from out of the crowd with Hero grabbing the microphone from Bobby Cruz. Hero said that ROH was garbage. Adam Pearce came out in street great (jeans with kneed pads and Bud Light shirt). Claudio Castagnoli battled Hero in the crowd as Necro and Pearce went toe to toe in the ring. Hero made his way back to deliver a chair shot to Pearce, allowing Necro to Russian Leg Sweep Pearce off the apron and through a table. Incredible heat and tons of "F--- you Hero!" chants. Cornette came out with his Louisville Slugger baseball bat and was able to hit Necro before being taken down by Hero. Cornette was then put into an armbar until BJ Whitmer and Samoa Joe came down to make the save. All the ROH students also came down and chased out Necro and Hero. On their way out, Hero began throwing chairs from the crowd into the ring. One of the chairs hit ringside photographer Mary Kate and took her out for the rest of the show.

9. Samoa Joe defeated Christopher Daniels and Jimmy Jacbos in a 3 way when Joe choked out Jacobs in 9:16. Great visual during Jacobs' introduction as the crowd used their cell phones in lieu of lighters ala a rock concert. Solid combination of action between Daniels and Joe with good comedy of Jacbos trying to sneak in.

10. Bryan Danielson defeated Roderick Strong in 56:06 after a rollup reversing Strong's stronghold. Match started around midnight. Long match, but never really dragged. Both men worked believably stiff throughout the entire match. Action really picked up on second half of the match, including both men throwing the other into the crowd. Danielson even pulled out a springboard elbow and ended up flying into the third row.

***Notes: Jonny Fairplay was in attendance. Smashing Pumpkin singer Billy Corgan and WWE stars James Gibson, Paul London and Rene Dupree were backstage.
