"Professor" Larry Brisco, academic by day, wrestling villain by night, Larry was trained in an "old school" style with a respect for the craft of the sport. A funny, sad and ultimately uplifting portrait of life outside of the squared circle.

Double Play Tickets and Celebrity Promotions presents a premier party for Captain Lou Albano celebrating the release of the Super Mario Brothers Super Show on DVD and his Jakks Pacific action figure.

Captain Lou Albano, the man in the middle of the Cyndy Lauper rock and wrestling connection, is being honored with a premier party for the release of the Super Mario Brothers Super Show DVD as well as his upcoming Jakks Pacific action figure. The event will take place Tuesday March 14, 2006 from 6-11PM at Ashford and Simpson’s Sugar Bar 254 W. 72nd Street between Broadway and West End Avenue Manhattan
Join celebrities, Lou Albano, boxing’s Lou Duva, “The Platinum Princess of Porn” Seka, The Iron Sheik, “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant, Nikolai Volkoff (w manager Nikita Breznikov), Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, King Kong Bundy, Afa The Wild Samoan, world renowned New York City Swing big band (www.nycswing.com), legendary TV hostess Robin Byrd, Shout Factory and many others as WWE Hall of Famer “Luscious” Johnny Valiant hosts the affair. Invited guests also include Ashford and Simpson, and representatives from DIC Entertainment, Nintendo Entertainment, Jakks Pacific, WWE, Chiller Theatre Convention, Quest Media as well as other legendary wrestlers.
Entertainment will include two full live sets from New York City Swing who have appeared at four White House inaugurals, a comedy set from “Luscious” Johnny Valiant who will be bringing a multitude of celebrities to the stage as well as performing pieces from his critically acclaimed one man show, “An Evening with Johnny Valiant.” At 7:30 an extensive 30 minute interview with Lou Albano will be shown live on TV’s NYC TV Profiles hosted by Mickey Burns and presented by Quest Media.
Sponsored by Double Play Tickets and Celebrity Promotions, all press and media are invited and the event is open to the public on a first come, first served basis as space is extremely limited. It’s been a stellar year for WWE Hall of Famer Luscious Johnny Valiant as he returns to The Sopranos in role of mob boss Phil Leotardo’s bodyguard, a Johnny Valiant documentary runs in multiple film fests worldwide and Jakks Pacific announces his legends figure.

It’s been quite the year for WWE Hall of Famer and two time tag team champ Johnny Valiant.
He returns to the hit HBO series The Sopranos this March in multiple episodes as the bodyguard for mob boss Phil Leotardo.
Also of note, Mark Ezovski’s critically acclaimed documentary on Johnny and NY area wrestlers Sky Hosoya and Larry Brisco, “The Absolute Truth About Professional Wrestling” has been picked up by film fests in India, Oklahoma and next Saturday March 4 at The B Movie Fest (see details below) in Syracuse where Johnny will appear in person at the evening screening and Sunday afternoon at 12:15PM to perform his hit comedy show, “An Evening With Johnny Valiant.”
In Fall 2006, Jakks Pacific will be releasing a Johnny Valiant action figure.
