I haven't done one of these in a long while. Just came across a copy of a Madison Square Garden (NYC) official program from January 23, 1961.
I know many of you readers probably weren't even born then, but it's nice seeing some wrestling history.
1 - Dick Steinborn defeated Chick Garibaldi in 7:48
2 - Mark Lewin & Don Curtis defeated Swede Hanson & Herb Larsen in 15:30
Curtis beat Larsen in 8:22 and 2nd fall Curtis beat Larsen in 7:08
3 - Tito Carreon defeated Angelo Savoldi in 11:51
4 - Primo Carnera & Bruno Sammartino defeated The Crusher & Danny McShane in 15:33
Bruno beat McShane in 12:28 and Primo beat The Crusher in 3:05
5 - Pat O'Connor defeated Han Schmidt in 15:28
6 - Antonino Rocca & Johnny Valentine defeated The Fabulous Kangaroos in 36:08
Valentine beat Al Costello in 26:55 and Rocca & Valentine won in 9:13 second fall

I was fortunate enough to be sitting in my reserved Second Row Ringside seat at the old Madison Square Garden. Section K Row 2 Seat 1
At the time, I was the President of the Buddy Rogers Fan Club and I had a lot of mixed emotions during this match. Being close to Buddy, running his Fan club and all, and being friends with Bruno since November 1959.
This was the start of a very long rein for Bruno Sammartino.
