WWE's Keibler Favored to Win 'Dancing'
Keibler, a one-time Baltimore Ravens cheerleader whose IMDb bio mentions her dance training, opened at 4/1 odds on the sports-betting site PinnacleSports.com. Season two of the show premieres Thursday (Jan. 5) on ABC.
Since the opening lines were set, the leggy Keibler has attracted more than a quarter of the bets on the competition. She's now an even more prohibitive favorite to win the dancing crown at 2/1.
ESPN broadcaster Kenny Mayne and NFL legend Jerry Rice are the two longest shots, according to the sports book. The odds for Mayne, known for his super-dry wit on "SportsCenter" and other ESPN shows, stand at 24/1, while Rice, despite attracting the second-highest number of bets, is a 19-to-1 shot.
Pinnacle and other online gaming sites have been burned in the past by offering odds on reality shows like "The Amazing Race" and "The Bachelor," as people with knowledge of the pre-taped shows' outcome have bet heavily on specific contestants. That shouldn't be an issue on "Dancing with the Stars," as eliminations, based on audience voting and judges' scores, will happen live each week.
