December 27th: ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson has petitioned Commissioner Jim Cornette to defend the belt against AJ Styles. Cornette, realizing this is a match that the fans want to see, has signed the bout for 1/28 in Cleveland, OH. Danielson wants to prove he can now defeat Styles, who has pinned Danielson on two occasions in their acclaimed bouts at "All Star Extravaganza" on 11/9/02 and "Main Event Spectacles" on 11/1/03. Styles and Danielson have not collided since 2003 and both have come a long way so there is no telling how good it will be when they compete in Cleveland. December 27th: ROH Tag Team Champions Austin Aries & Roderick Strong will make their first title defense on 1/27 in Dayton, OH. Aries has granted Bryan Danielson the opportunity to pick a partner and receive the first title shot. Aries wants to do this since Danielson gave him the first World Title match of his reign. Danielson has already asked Jay Lethal to be his partner. We'll have word on Lethal's answer later this week. Tickets on sale now at the above places!!!

December 27th: It looks like Chris Hero did not take Jim Cornette's warning seriously. Hero once again ran down ROH and Bryan Danielson, this time in his live journal at ChrisHero.com. After reading Hero's journal, Danielson called ROH officials to say that he will send in a tape giving his feelings on Hero and CZW. Danielson said that everyone's questions will be answered with this promo. We hope to have it up by the end of the week on the main page of ROHwrestling.com.

December 27th: ROH Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness has stated that his challengers will not be determined by the Top 5 system. McGuinness says he will seek out the most "pure" wrestlers and defend the belt against these individuals. McGuinness says the Pure Wrestling Title is all about the most technically gifted athletes so McGuinness will only defend the belt against these men. Nigel is scheduled to defend the belt next on 1/14 in Philadelphia and we will have word on his opponent next week.

December 27th: Davey Andrews has taken a leave of absence and vacated the Top Of The Class Trophy. A new trophy holder will be determined on the 1/14 preshow.
