ASHLEY MASSARO GRACES PAGES OF MAXIM MAGAZINE

Ashley graces the pages of Maxim Magazine

In a relatively short period of time, RAW Diva Search winner Ashley has accomplished more than most do in an entire career. Not only did she beat out thousands of girls to become a RAW Diva, but she’s also already had many successful matches on RAW and is one of WWE.com’s most-visited Superstars. On top of all this, Ashley can now add a six-page layout in the January 2006 Maxim Magazine to her already impressive resume. The magazine hits newsstands everywhere Dec. 15. WWE.com caught up with Ashley to talk to her about the shoot, the possibility of posing for Playboy and more. 

WWE.com: How did the Maxim shoot come about?
Ashley: I got a call from the WWE offices and they said they had a surprise for me and told me I’d be doing a six-page layout for Maxim Magazine and I just freaked out. Every girl wants to be in Maxim. It was just awesome.

WWE.com: How was the experience?
Ashley: It was sick. It was so cool. The photographer was so cool. He was really nice and everyone was so cool. We seemed to always agree on the same stuff, so that was a positive thing. We all had the same kind of idea. And Maxim gives you the best of the best. All I had to do was show up and they did the rest. The two guys that were there doing the interview were super funny. They were like guys I would probably end up being friends with and hanging out with anyways because they were so down to earth and cool and hilarious. We did an awesome interview and they shot some video for Maxim Online. It was a long shoot, though. I got there at 7:00 a.m. and didn’t leave until 9:00 p.m. So, we were shooting all day. But it was totally well worth it. It went really well and we had a lot of fun at the shoot.

WWE.com: How does it compare to other shoots?
Ashley: With Maxim, they just make you look and feel so sexy. You feel like a million bucks. They do you up and make you look so beautiful. They built the sets while I was there. I came in and there was plywood and metal on the floor and then the next thing you know there’s a ridiculous backdrop behind you. It was amazing how quickly they built it and broke it down. And they had me in some really sexy and really hot poses.

WWE.com: What can the fans expect in the shoot?
Ashley: A bunch of hot pix! They came out really good. The fans should definitely check them out. They won’t be disappointed. The backdrop was kind of hard and edgy. It wasn’t like me just on a pillow. The outfits were so skimpy and the poses were really sexy, so we wanted the backdrop to be harder and edgier. We shot it in the city, so we wanted to keep that kind of vibe. It was a nice combination to have the hard backdrop and the really sexy outfits.

WWE.com: You’ve only been in WWE a relatively short time, did you think you’d be doing shoots like this so soon?
Ashley: No way! It was totally a dream come true. Who wouldn’t want to shoot for Maxim? When I first heard I was doing it, I couldn’t believe they were serious.

WWE.com: Do you have ambitions to follow in the footsteps of previous Divas and pose in Playboy?
Ashley: I think that it could be a possibility. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
