What can I say that hasn't already been said. TNA is off the charts!!!
Amazing, Incredible and Extremely Impressive in their Prime Time debut. Spike TV should consider doing this every week. I hope the ratings are strong enough for that to happen.
Normally I fall asleep during Smackdown, that didn't happen last night.
The only downfall was Jeff Jarrett taking the belt back from Rhino so soon.
Let the kid run with it for a few months, he can carry. Jarrett reminds me of Triple H....

Impact last night was tremendous in this person's opinion. One who prefers his fair share of sports to entertainment, I felt like we got that and a heaping more last night during the 2 hours of Impact on Spike. It is obvious that TNA can use the 2 hours to program its work much more consistently, as we all saw last night with only one squash, but even with the squash, a tremendous amount of fan participation involving the Alpha Male. Following that, all competitive matches with the opening six man tag, Team 3D vs. Team Canada, the NWA World title match, and in this person's opinion, the obvious two show stealers, Ultimate X, and the six man involving Sonjay, AJ Styles, Aries, Joe, Daniels & Alex Shelley.
Spike should get some major numbers from that experience. I look forward to watching more of Impact as how it develops as I continue to hope that the launch is iminent of version 2.0 of the Monday Night Wars.

I was glad that Jeff Jarrett regained the title, he deserves it.

I thought the show was absolutely FANTASTIC and AWESOME !!!
I just love TNA and will be watching all their shows and PPV's from now on.
The X Division talent is UNBELIEVABLE !!
I see them being a SOLID competitor to the WWE shows.
Just like their title says 'TOTAL NON STOP ACTION"
Let's hope we get more of these 2 hr. specials.

Am I the only one that noticed that TNA made a major goof? During one of the commercial breaks, which aired a promo for Genesis and announced Jarrett as the World Heavyweight Champion. This happened before the match, and it spoiled the ending. Other than that, the whole show was awesome. Hopefully Rhino will get the belt back eventually.

Loved TNA, but I really was not impressed with Jarrett versus Rhino. Normally a huge WWE fan, I thought A.J.Styles was the best athlete I saw by far during TNA. I was disappointed by the outcome of the Ultimate X.

Last night's TNA iMPACT 2 hour primetime special was amazing. Two full hours of wrestling, with the occasional promo. Total Kickass Wrestling. WWE take notes. Smack Down and Raw need to be more like this. Just wrestle. No stupid storylines. No announcer vs. World Champion match, and no half-assed matches. Every match was solid. AJ Styles, Sonjay Dutt, Austin Aries vs. Fallen Angel, Samoa Joe, and Alex Shelley was the best match of the night. I couldn't believe Jeff Jarrett won the title back. Ultimate shocker. That's what I love about TNA.

Hey Georgiann,
Since TNA began, I'm enjoying wrestling again. Up to this point I had been pining away for what used to be watching old tapes and dvd's. Here's a revolutionary thought...an actual wrestling show that's about wrestling with some cool stories to boot. I loved the special and hope they do well enough that Spike gives them a permanent prime time slot. Have to say I loved the opening promo about not reviving what was (Insert guitar shot on Hogan here)but developing what is to be.(Namely the X division) Team 3-D IS the tag division. There's a reason why they call Styles "Phenomenal". Rhino is a perfect example of an underused/misused talent that can bring it if given the chance and has already proven it.(cough! RVD cough!) So Jarrett won the belt back, he is still a great heel but don't despair...the "Alpha Male's" time is coming and soon all of TNA will feel the POOOUUUNCEEE!!! PERIOD!!!

I think TNA really impressed not only the fans, but the network as well. We can only hope that the show will open SpikeTV to pulling TNA to primetime. I don't know about anyone else but I hate having to wait until 11pm on Saturday to watch Impact. It was great to see a whole extra hour and they really met my expectations. They might not be perfect but they're pretty darn close.
I really liked the video package that opened the show. It showcased some of the great moments in TNA leading up to this point and introduced new fans to the product and it's stars. It's also good for long-time fans to look back on some of the shocking and exciting moments of the company. I still enjoy the segment with Jarrett bashing Hogan's head in with that guitar, lol!
The team of Hardy, Hoyt and Sabu really impressed as they destroyed the Diamonds in the Rough. Lance Hoyt may be 270-pounds but he can wrestle like a lightweight. Since he and Kid Kash went their seperate ways he has really come into his own.
The heat between Jeff Jarrett and Monty Brown is really building. I have a feeling that the Alpha Male will become the no. 1 contender come Genesis. I don't know what it is but Monty Brown has really grown on me. And what about that triple-Pounce on Brian Gamble? Ouch.
Then came the BIG spoiler of the evening. They showed the commercial for Genesis that announced Jeff Jarrett as the NWA World Champion. WTF?
Next was the match that I think took the show. The 6-man tag match that made me jump out of my chair a number of times. All those men are Godlike when it comes to a wrestling ring. I have to give it up to my boy, Samoa Joe. That guy can take it to you in sooo many ways. The same goes for Alex Shelley who I believe is VERY underrated. Throughout the last few moments of that match I was standing in anticipation. It was move after move after move! That had to easily be one of the best matches I've seen on television in at least 3 years.
Raven versus Rhino!
Team 3-D again shows why they are the #1 tag team in the business today.
Once again TNA breaks the laws of gravity with the Ultimate X match. You can't get any better than three of the youngest and most talented guys in TNA taken it to another level. As much as I like Petey Williams, I think Sabin deserved the win more.
Jeff Jarrett wins again. Argh! He's slowly becoming the new Triple H of wrestling. I think if the card wasn't as solid as it was this match would've ruined the show. Eventhough, we saw the spoiler earlier in the night I was hoping it was an error and Rhino would retain. I'm going to have nightmares every night until Rhino gets the belt back.
All in all, Total Non-stop Action wrestling is the rebirth of professional wrestling. And I do say professional wrestling because who needs sport-entertainment when you've got what the business was built on? I believe this new product will regenerate the wrestling scene and make it fun again. I remember the mid-90s when wrestling was cool. When you weren't embarassed to say you were a fan. TNA is the next generation. It's keeping the sport alive for our kids to enjoy and their kids to enjoy and our great, great grandkids to enjoy.
