Matt Morgan Recap:

* Matt Morgan is first introduced and then it's commented that his stutter has vanished. Matt jokingly states that it's thanks to his speech therapist that knocked it out of the park in two months.
* Matt was confused on why they went with this gimmick seeing that he was talking fine during Tough Enough 2. Said that the new TE was lacking the connection between the competitors and the fans.
* Matt Plugs that he is going to be going working with New Japan
* First attempted to be a pro-wrestler in Hawaii when he was a senior in college. He paid $1000 for the training after he paid; the trainer fled the island and was never heard from again.
* The funds were spotted to him by his coach in college because he was a natural athlete and his coach believed he could do it.
* Shortly after Matt saw an ad for Tough Enough I. He sent in his tape but missed the deadline.
* Sent in a new tape for TE 2 and was told that they liked his tape from last year as well but he was 1 day shy of making the cut off date.
* Matt felt that TE was better suited for the "David" instead of the "Goliath". Said the format works better when the average Joe gets the opportunity. It was for this reason that he felt that he would not be picked for TE. To his surprise though he was.
* Felt that Aaron was a shoe in to win the competition from the start based on his physical conditioning and presentation. He was surprised to see him go so early into the competition due to collapsing after the training course.
* Matt stated that while the fans were still under the impression that TE 2 would have the same rules as TE 1, which had 1 girl and 1 guy winning, the contract he signed just stated two winners.
* When questioned if he was not let go from the show due to injury if he would have won, he replies no because he is very pessimistic.
* Although Jake was the loudest about 2 girls winning, Matt states he is was ripped but not very coordinated.  Said he had a great look and high vertical leap but was the kind of guy that couldn't walk and chew bubblegum.
*  Was happy with his time in OVW. Learned a lot from Lance Storm and Jim Cornette, Danny Davis and the Big Show.
* Jim Cornette gave Matt the name the Blue Print because he was the "Blue Print" of what every big man in wrestling should be. He received the name shortly after wrestling Kane to test his progression in OVW.
* When Matt was in OVW he was down there with people like Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Dave Batista and Nick Dinsmore (Eugene).
* Said that he was one of the most over faces in OVW in such a short amount of time, which was about 6 months at the time.
* Said the Tutoring he received there was second to none. A lot of the tutoring was done by watching tapes with Jim Cornette and Danny Davis.
* Matt highlights his run in Team Lesnar. He was really excited to be called up and super hyped about coming up.
* Originally Nathan and Matt were supposed to be brought in on Team Angles side to counter act the powerhouses of Lesnar and Big Show shortly before Survivor Series.
* Thought the Vignettes for Nathan Jones first run were impressive. It was thought to be smart to make him look like he couldn't wrestle because if he didn't succeed it could be played off that he was new to the sport.
* Matt was asked back to OVW after Nathan quit and so did Brock. He had no problem going back. He wanted to improve his training and didn't want to hang around backstage and waste his time.
* Felt that with Lance Storm training in OVW he could improve his knowledge of false finishes and the heel psychology.
* Claims that going back to OVW was a blessing in disguise.
* Matt says that he was held back from doing a lot of the moves he is capable of doing. He is an athlete that can do moonsaults off the top. He was told as being a big man he cannot do these moves.
* Matt sited the reaction from the crowd from Brock climbing the top rope at Wrestlemania 19 and he wanted to have that same reaction.
* Says that going over with a big move could make a lot of sense but he was never put in a position to exhibit that. He could easily work a 45 Min Match but WWE didn't book him that way.
* Matt said that he won the OVW Heavyweight title from Nick Dinsmore.
* Says that Nick is the one of the best wrestlers in the WWE.
* Said that Nick has one of the best senses of humors in the locker room and when he mimics other wrestlers, he is sure that Nick pops inside.
* Says that the Eugene character is so far off from his OVW Gimmick which was Mr. Wrestling Nick Dinsmore which was a lot like a Benoit, a no nonsense type wrestler.
* Thinks that Batista used to blow up quick when he first started and Matt had the same problem but since the last time Matt saw Batista he feels he has conquered that.
* Thinks that John Cena is a People's Champion.
* Don't think that the fans are there to watch him for his wrestling but rather his character as a whole. Thinks that people are starting to get the same flow from Batista.
* Says John is a great PR Champion.
* Matt said that John Cena attacking people post match is part of his "Thug Gimmick" and it makes sense. Says that they want to personify him in the Gray area of wrestling and not either black or white.
* Says that there is no way to please the Internet Fans. They will be unhappy with anyone who holds the champion.
* Matt puts Triple H over in a big way. Says that when he in Japan with the WWE, he said he learned a lot from Triple H. Said that Triple H doesn't only carry guys, he makes them as well.  He says that Triple H is "The Man".
* Conversation turned to the Stuttering Matt Gimmick.
* Said that he was a little leery about taking the gimmick at first but when all the releases were happening, he didn't want to turn it down and give them an excuse to release him as well.
* The gimmick was described to him as being a man that can do it all but when it came to speaking would have a stutter. Matt felt that it was just the opposite of what he was seeing he graduated 5th in his class with a communications degree and public speaking.
* Said the stuttering gimmick felt that it was like putting him in a boxing match with Mike Tyson with his hands tied behind his back.
* Said this was a gimmick that they wanted to do this gimmick for a long time but thought it could have worked better with someone else.
* One time when he was over seas someone played with the PA system and when he spoke his voice was really high pitched and the crowd loved it.
* Matt said that the F5 was not his finisher in OVW. His finisher was the Mount Morgan Slam but Big Show was too big to take that. He was given the F5 as a way to show his power and get Big Show off his feet.
* During the time frame of giving multiple F5's to Big Show, Matt was suffering from back spasms months prior.
* Said it was Huge for Big Show to put him over. Said that he thanks him over and over again for 1) Going down to the big boot and 2) for allowing him to give him the F5.
* Said that Big Show is an oddity and that people pay to see him because of he is so different than the average person.
* Puts Carlito over in a big way as well. Said that he is extremely funny and very humble. Matt says that Carly is eons ahead of people his age in this biz yet he still wants to learn more.
* Matt said his first dark match in WWE was Matt and Sean O'Hare vs. Carlito and Nova.
* Talk turns to the ECW. He was a huge ECW fan. Actually bounced at a bar in NJ that hosted an ECW show. This is where he first met a lot of the guys of ECW. Said he was really excited to be involved in the "One Night Stand" PPV. Joking referenced that he had great seats for it.
* Says that it's good for Edge and Hardy to cash in on the heat between the two of them.
* When he was released by WWE and Johnny Ace, he was told to go to Japan and tour some and then he would be brought back sometime. They were keeping their eye on him and another talent that was released to be brought back in the future because they were so young and have so much potential.
* Said that he was happy to be released because he didn't like the character. Said that he felt that he was thrown into a lake with a 3,000 lb noose and there was not getting up. This is his chance to shine and prove them wrong. He didn't create the character and didn't feel responsible for its failure.
* Matt said that he feels lucky to have been released and so should Mark Jindrak because Mark too has a lot of potential and he will really get a chance to shine outside the federation.
* It's mentioned to Matt that he and Mark were spotted buying tickets to Smackdown.
* Matt plugs www.markandmattlive.com  .
* Says that Mark and Matt came up with the concept after meeting about a booking for New Japan.
* Thinks that this will play well to the internet fans. There is so much behind the scenes that fans would love. Thinks that people would love to see how funny Mark can be and what the both of them are like outside the ring, the Real Guys as they go to Indy Shows and Japan and such.
* Says that Mark really is the Reflection of Perfection.
* When asked if there was any chances of Matt showing up in TNA after his no compete clause is up on Oct 27th, he responded "No Comment".
* Matt said while all the released wrestlers are targeting TNA, the question remains is does TNA want them.
* Says that TNA is the competition that WWE needs. That fans should want competition and so should the WWE because that's what makes the product better and TNA will be that change.
* Closes by saying that Fans have not seen the real Matt Morgan yet. Says that he is the youngest giant in this biz and the only walking talking running jumping giants in this business and he is the blue print of what a giant is and we have not seen anything yet.
* Plugs his appearance again in Japan and his website at www.matt-morgan.org
