RING OF HONOR NOTES & NEWS

September 22nd: This Saturday, September 24th, ROH finally returns to Boston when it presents "Survival Of The Fittest 2005" in Dorchester, MA at the Dorchester Armory just a minute off I-93. There will be tickets available at the door the night of the show. You can still reserve tickets at ROHwrestling.com, by calling 215-781-2500 and at Ticketmaster outlets. The ROHwrestling.com Newswire will look at the six qualifying matches today and tomorrow. The winners of the six qualifying matches will go on to the six man elimination main event.

September 22nd: The main event of the qualifying matches this Saturday in Boston will be former ROH World Champion James Gibson vs. "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels!!! This might be the only time these two clash in a singles match. Gibson and Daniels had a memorable exchange in the four way match at "Redemption," which is just a preview of what we can expect in this bout. This will be Gibson's final ROH Boston appearance while it marks the return of Daniels to Boston in ROH for the first time since "War Of The Wire" on Thanksgiving weekend in 2003. Gibson is on borrowed time and wants to solidify his legacy in ROH by winning "Survival Of The Fittest." Daniels wants titles and could easily move into contention by winning the tournament. This one has all the makings of a classic!!!

September 22nd: The Austin Aries vs. Jimmy Rave with Prince Nana & Jade Chung Qualifying Match can best be described as a Grudge Match. Aries, as part of Generation Next, has been in the midst of a building feud against Nana's Embassy. Aries and Rave met at "Punk: The Final Chapter" in a match that saw Rave lay out Aries with a post match Styles Clash. However, for Aries this match is about more than revenge on Rave. Aries was the breakout star of last year's "Survival Of The Fittest" despite losing the finals to Danielson. Aries has been haunted by that loss for a year. Now he can exorcise that ghost by winning the entire tournament this Saturday in Boston. Nana insists that The Embassy will rise to the top of ROH and in order for that to happen The Embassy's "Crown Jewel" needs to win in Boston.

September 22nd: A very interesting Qualifying Match will pit Jay Lethal against Sal Rinauro. Lethal slowly climbed the ladder in ROH and is now an established star, especially after defeating Low Ki last Saturday. Rinauro, making his first Boston area appearance, is looking to follow the same path as Lethal. Rinauro earned this spot by winning a Four Corner Survival at "Do Or Die V" on 8/20. Rinauro needs a win here or he might be in danger of losing that spot. Lethal is looking to cement his status as a main eventer by capturing the entire tournament. These two match up very evenly and this match could go either way.

September 22nd: Don't forget that the VHS of 8/12 "Redemption" (CM Punk vs. James Gibson vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels in an elimination bout for the World Title, Matt Hardy vs. Homicide and much more) and 8/13 "Punk: The Final Chapter" (CM Punk's last ROH match vs. Colt Cabana 2/3 Falls, Matt Hardy vs. Roderick Strong plus more) are now available for immediate delivery at ROHwrestling.com.

September 22nd: Kenta Kobashi has landed in the United States!!! Kobashi is very excited to make his way to ROH on Oct. 1st in Manhattan and Oct. 2nd in Philadelphia. Get your tickets now at ROHwrestling.com, by calling 215-781-2500 and at Ticketmaster outlets.

September 22nd: Make sure to check out the new, free videos on the main page of ROHwrestling.com. There is a new video promoting this Saturday's "Survival Of The Fittest" in Boston and another one where Samoa Joe talks about Kenta Kobashi.

September 22nd: "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson told ROH officials he will be a fighting champion and that he wants to defend the belt against the best in ROH and other promotions. ROH has already sent out a number of open contracts to various promotions both in the United States and international. It should be very interesting to see who Danielson defends the belt against.
