Due to an injury Josh is forced to leave wrestling…

Championship Wrestling officials learned today that one of our brightest stars, 18 year old "Cut Throat" Josh Cody will be forced to leave pro wrestling do to an injury. Here is the message that Josh posted earlier today on a local wrestling message board:

There comes a time in every mans life when he has to give up something he doesnt really wish to. Well, Tonight I was forced into this decision. I will leaving the business. This up-coming match against Alyx Winters and AJ Styles will be indeed my last match. I went to the hospital over my "concussion like" accident that I suffered at the last Championship Wrestling event. I have Second Trama Syndrome, in turn if I recieve another head injury of that extent then I will become a "Vegatable" and be basically nothing. It is in my better interest to stop wrestling.

Sorry to inform everyone, I hope to be missed,

"Cut Throat"
Josh Cody
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Josh Cody started training to be a pro wrestler at the age of 12 and had his 1st match at 13 at a bought show in a nursing home of all places.

Josh struggled to get bookings for his 1st couple years in the business, but once he got regular bookings, he quickly established himself as not only the best high flyer in the region, but one of the top wrestlers in the area overall.

Josh became only the 2nd wrestler to be on the cover of the Kingsport Times-News back in May when he challenged then NWA World Heavyweight Champion, AJ Styles for his title only 1 week after graduating from Dobyns Bennett High School in Kingsport.

Business wise the loss of Josh Cody to Championship Wrestling is a huge blow... But personally it's an even bigger blow. Josh has always been viewed as everybodys in our locker room's "little brother". Not having him sitting back there with us will be like the loss of a family member.

Knowing Josh like we here at Championship Wrestling do, we know that if the 3 Way with AJ Styles and Alyx Winters is his last match, despite his injury he will hold nothing back and give the fans something they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Josh, we all love you and you will be missed.
