Chris Candido Memorial Cup Semi Final Match…

iMPACT! opens up with footage from last week, and we are just over a week away from TNA's next pay-per-view offering, Unbreakable, where Rhino will challenge Raven for the NWA Heavyweight Championship. We then go to Mike Tenay and Don West as they welcome us to the show.

Chris Candido Memorial Cup Semi Final Match
Sean Waltman and Alex Shelley vs. Lance Hoyt and Konnan

Konnan and Alex Shelley kick things off with Konnan taking Shelley down and locking in a Boston crab, and then a rocking horse. Konnan went for an STF but floated over into a front face lock. Konnan scored with a kick and then the Rolling Thunder but then Waltman came in and hit a spin kick on Konnan. Shelley kicked away at Konnan before tagging Waltman in, who chopped Konnan in the corner. Waltman scored with a spin kick and then a leg drop and then tagged in Shelley. Konnan and Shelley collided with a double clothesline and then Konnan tags in Hoyt as Shelley tags in Waltman. Hoyt hit a clothesline and then a back body drop but then Waltman came back with a spinning heel kick. Waltman went for the Bronco Buster, but Hoyt scored with a Big Boot. Kip James then hit the ring and distracted the referee. Hoyt knocked James off the apron but Waltman scored with a low blow and then hit the X Factor for the win.
Winners - Alex Shelley and Sean Waltman

Backstage:
Jeff Jarrett is in the back with Shane Douglas. He comes across BG James and Ron Killings, and tells them the list of people getting released is getting bigger. He said it wasn't a coincidence that they were on different teams in the Candido Memorial tournament. Konnan comes in and wonders why Killings and James are talking to Jarrett. Konnan says the 3 Live Kru will stay together, and tells James and Killings that they are crazy to listen to Jarrett. James said Jarrett made some good points.

Non Title Match
Shark Boy vs. Christopher Daniels (c)

Sharky with a side head lock into a hammer lock but then Daniels knocks Sharky down. Sharky grabbed an arm bar and Daniels tries to escape and uses Sharky's mask for leverage. Daniels locked in an arm bar, but Sharky escapes. Sharky hits a drop toe hold into a side head lock. Daniels charges at Sharky, but Sharky sends Daniels over the top rope to the floor and then he hits a pescado. Sharky chops Daniels and then punches him against the guardrail. Sharky threw Daniels back into the ring. Daniels hit some kicks to Sharky and then a back elbow. Daniels with a slam and knee drop for a two count. Daniels with a hip toss followed by an enziguri. Sharky scored with a jaw breaker and clothesline, followed by a dropkick. Sharky with a neckbreaker and then went up top for a torpedo drop kick, but Daniels moves out of the way. Daniels with a modified chokeslam followed by the Best Moonsault Ever for a two count. Daniels went for the Angel’s Wings but then AJ Styles hit the ring and Daniels confronted him. Sharky then came from behind and rolled up Daniels for the win! Daniels is pissed as Styles makes his way up the aisle, looking pleased with himself.

Chris Sabin and Shocker vs. Ron Killings and Sonjay Dutt

Shocker with a waist lock take down on Dutt, but Dutt reversed. Dutt hit a headscissors take down, but Shocker scored with a leg sweep. Dutt then hit a leg sweep of his own and followed with an arm drag and a tilt-a-whirl head scissors. Sabin and Killings tag in and Sabin grabbed a side head lock and then hit a shoulderblock. Sabin with a hurricanrana on Killings and then Sabin ducked a clothesline but Killings hit a powerslam followed by an armbar. Dutt tagged in and hit a snap elbow drop on Sabin. Dutt sent Sabin into the corner followed up with a running kick to Sabin’s head. Dutt scored with a back kick and superkick to Sabin then went up for a corkscrew moonsault, but Sabin moved. Sabin went for a power bomb, but Dutt flipped out. Sabin hit the dragon whip and he tagged in Shocker who kicks Dutt and chops him before hitting an Irish whip and bulldog. Shocker locked Dutt in a modified figure four but Dutt made the ropes. Sabin tagged and grabs Dutt’s leg and puts it in the ropes and hits a running drop kick to the leg. Dutt tried to fight back, but Sabin dropkicked the knee. Sabin locked in a half crab. Shocker tagged in and hits a elbow from the apron on Dutt and then scored with a powerbomb. Shocker went for another but Dutt reversed. Sabin and Killings tag in and Killings scored with punches to Sabin and Shocker followed by a Flatliner, but Shocker made the save. Killings with right hands to Sabin, but Sabin with a back kick and he gets Killings up for the Cradle Shock. When Sabin has Killings up, he accidentally knocks Shocker down. Killings scored with a rollup for a two count. Shocker sends Killings into the post and then Sabin and Shocker argue in the ring. Dutt tagged in and hit a crossbody on both men but Shocker and Sabin come back with a double flap jack on Dutt and Sabin with the La Magistral rollup for the win to advance to the finals against Sean Waltman and Alex Shelley. After the match, Shocker and Sabin had some words but shook hands.

Monty Brown vs. Sonny Siaki
Brown sent Siaki into the corner but Siaki with punches to Brown followed by an Irish whip. Brown hit a clothesline out of the corner followed by a dropkick and right hand. Siaki comes back with a leg lariat and then a swinging neckbreaker. Kip James then hit the ring and sent Apolo into the ring post on the outside. Siaki hit a suicide dive onto James and then punches him but Monty Brown hit the POUNCE on the floor. Monty grabbed a chair from under the ring and the referee called for the bell. Brown puts the chair against Siaki’s throat and then slams the chair to the floor. Inside the ring, Brown kicked Apolo but Apolo punches Brown and chops him. Brown sends Apolo into Kip James who has the chair but then Lance Hoyt makes the save.
Winner by disqualification, Sonny Siaki

James Storm vs. Chase Stevens
Stevens went to work with right hands. Stevens went to send Storm over the top, but Storm held on. Stevens went for a baseball slide, but Storm is skinned the cat and Stevens goes to the floor. Storm went for a splash against the guardrail, but Stevens moved and Storm hit the guardrail. Stevens hit a suplex onto the ramp. Storm puts Stevens in the tree of woe and then hit a dropkick. Jimmy Hart checked on Stevens and Stevens goes up and hits a moonsault. Stevens hits a back kick and then a springboard sunset flip, but Storm rolls through and kicked Stevens. Stevens with an Irish whip, but eats boot. Storm went for an inverted tornado DDT, but Stevens punches him. Storm scored with a jawbreaker and both men are down. Stevens hits a Death Valley Driver for a two count but Storm comes back with a back body drop for two. Stevens ducked a clothesline and comes back with a dropkick. Storm hits a series of headbutts but Stevens hit a flying forearm and both are down. Outside the ring, Douglas and Harris get in each others face and then Storm and Stevens both hit superkicks at the same time in the ring. Harris distracts the referee and that allows James to roll Storm on top for the three count. Jimmy Hart yelled at the referee as iMPACT! went off the air.
