This coming weekend promises to have the potential to be thebiggest in WXW’s illustrious history.  With Sportsfest 2005 this Friday, July 8^th (a free event) at Cedar Beach in Allentown, PA followed by Summer Heat ’05 at the Fernwood Hotel and Resorts in Bushkill, PA it could definitely be too hot to handle!! First, Sportsfest 2005: 

            The homicidal, suicidal, genocidal Sabu will make his WXW debut THIS FRIDAY at Sportsfest.  This wrestling legend will make his return to the Lehigh Valley with WXW and he plans on making an impact.  Not only will Sabu be debuting, but former WXW Heavyweight Champion and WWE Superstar Gene Snisky and WWE Tag Team Champion Rosey will also be returning to WXW this Saturday!The WXW Heavyweight Championship will be on the line when Rockin’ Rebel defends against former Champion Bison Bravado.  Rebel promised to make an impact and take over, even calling out Samu and Afa “The Wild Samoan.”  But when push came to shove, Rebel hit hard and took the Championship not just from Bison, but from WXW also.  Will he walk out the champ or will Bison walk out a two time champion?  Rebel promises to have backup in the form of his army not far behind, will Bison be ready for this?     

            One of the hottest feuds in the history of professional wrestling has been Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka vs. “Magnificent” Don Muraco.  One single match in that feud paved way for a new style of wrestling…that moment when Superfly flew off the top of the cage onto Don Muraco.  Now, almost 20 years later this feud continues, but with a new generation.  Upon hearing that Jimmy Snuka would be at Sportsfest, “The Magnificent One” Joe Muraco petitioned the front office of WXW to take on Snuka, and they obliged.  Will history repeat itself, or will a new generation step forward?   

            The Great Samu has decided to bring up a good friend and great tag team partner in John Rambo to Sportsfest to team up with him and his brothers LA Smooth and Samoan Storm.  All 4 of these men are dominating forces that Chris Hero, "Double C" Claudio Castagnoli, “2 Cock” Kevin Matthews, and Slugger will have to deal with in the ring at Sportsfest.  The question is, where is Samu’s mind after the events at Memorial Day Mayhem?  After Rob Dimension made his return to WXW to try and scout Samu, Samu beat the hell out of a fan who had less the flattering words for the legend himself.  Where will Samu’s mind be, and where will Rob Dimension be this Friday?           

            In six man tag team action, the team of Molsonn, CJ O’Doyle, and Jake Bishop led by the Purifier will take on Cabbie, Sinister X and the returning Chilly.  This whole situation has been brewing for months, but only 3 men will walk out of Sportsfest…the other 3 may never walk again after what could be the battle of their lives.   

          Knowing that Sportsfest is the biggest show of the year for WXW, a number of WXW Gulf Coast stars are making the trip up to be a part of the biggest show of the year.  This includes Chris Impakt with Selina, Slash, T-Bolt, Eddie G, and commentator Ryan Mills.  Speaking of Gulf Coast stars, The Rayz Brothers will go against World Tag Team Champions The Untouchables with their manager Eddie G.  The Untouchables have been successful ever since they teamed up with Eddie G.  Will their success continue or will the belts go down south?

                 The Cruiserweight Championship will be on the line when Drew Blood goes one on one against Sabian.  Sabian felt he got screwed by Notorious Inc. when Devon Moore ran out to aid Blood and literally GIVE him the championship.  Sabian promises to take it all home at Sportsfest.

                Also scheduled for this show are the WXW Television Champion Boogalou, Low Ryda, Puerto Rican Hurricane Havoc, Greg Matthews, Kevin Matthews, The Big Unit, The Moonshiners, The Dynamic Sensation, Tonic, Zac Conner, KC Blade, EC Negro, Shorty Smalls, and so much more!!  Be there for a belltime of 6 pm with a 2 hour LIVE extravaganza on Service Electric Cable TV beginning at 8 pm.
