Tom gets Uso Crazy!…
Hey d00ds!
After a wild busy holiday season at my job in radio, heading back to New England Pro Wrestling Academy to try and get back in the swing of things after the injury and helping out to set up a 2CW show in Elmira, NY, I'm finally able to show off my holiday gets! Some I got back around Thanksgiving (Part I) and others I'll open up on Christmas (Part II). Check it out!
Yo baby you like what u see?!
Had to have a Ringside Collectibles Exclusive Casket Playset sent to me as it's one of the final things I worked on at my time there. I think they turned out great! It's a little odd to see them at first because they're sized so huge, but you have to fit Great Khali in so you can bury his figure in your back yard and forget about it for 10 years and then dig it up and be terrified because it hasn't decayed at all. The breakaway tombstone is awesome and a shovel never hurt anybody (in a sense.)
Broken tombstones are spooky.
The Ringside Collectibles Exclusive Rated R Edge is another one I had to have sent my way. You all know I'm Christian over Edge all day every day but I still love and miss the guy. A shame we never got that final Edge vs. Christian feud that they missed the boat on as soon as he came back. This figure fits in great with that sort of daydreaming. I think you stop motion dudes should get on making that feud a reality and use this figure. I'd watch the eff out of that. Kept him MOC, though, as I'm not at the warehouse anymore to walk away with a loose one!
I got 99 problems but Lita's empty box ain't one.
Next up, the Usos (whose entrance I love) get their Elite treatment in Mattel WWE Elite 32. Great when these guys stomp and shout at the top of the ramp and then it flows super weird from there. Am I the only one that doesn't understand why after such a great entrance they don't just act that way all the way down to the ring and then save the hip-hop song for the end when they celebrate? Either way, their figures turned out great, the likenesses are spot on and I'm already sad that they don't have anymore feuding with the Wyatts to do. I'm always glad when a tag team stays together for an extended period of time, this is no exception.
Brother vs. Brother is the best kind of Casket Match!
Lastly, I had to get the Mattel WWE Elite 32 Daniel Bryan just like everyone else. And just like everyone else, I hate the painted skin tone. I don't know if reasoning has been revealed for this yet but I'm assuming it's cost cutting because the beard mold would be irritatingly expensive to have as a separate piece? I just wish the Elite 28 treatment had been saved for this figure because it's ultimately an insanely better head scansculpt and it's just disheartening for it not to match the rest of the body. It isn't HUGELY noticeable, but it's pretty noticeable. If I didn't give a sh*t about toys I probably would never have noticed, like the rest of the general population, but all of us, even the most casual, are going to notice right away. Plus, if you're a kid, and you're heavy with your play, you're going to scratch it off anyways and it's going to look stupid. Oh well, maybe next time!
Bury my YES at Wounded Knee
That's it! I hope you all have a great holiday and I'll see you after my presents have been opened. I'll be looking at your threads too. This is so much fun!
