The new and hot items Mattel had on display for their WWE line!…

By Colin Edelman

Toy Fair 2012 saw the steady continuation of Mattel’s WWE wrestling action figure line. Showcased were the new Brawlin’ Buddies that included Sheamus, John Cena, Rey Mysterio & Randy Orton. The WWE Rumblers line continued to expand and cover the roster as Superstars like Zack Ryder, Brodus Clay, Mason Ryan and Alex Riley were given new figures. Also showcased with a quick turnaround time was a Rumbler for the newly masked Kane.

On display for collectors, Mattel brought out their Best of Pay Per View Elite set, Elite Series 13, Elite Series 15, WWE Series 17, WWE 2-Packs Series 15 and the WWE Legends line. The highly sought after Bret Hart, John Cena, Daniel Bryan and Triple H figures that can be collected to build a Michael Cole figure were featured, as well as a brand new look at The Rock and John Cena facing off in a Battle Pack just in time for Wrestlemania, Sin Cara’s first released action figure in the line with Daniel Bryan, and the hotly anticipated Bella Twins. Elite Series 15 included another Flashback figure, presenting Mattel’s take on Yokozuna. It also showed off Sin Cara’s first Elite figure and R-Truth, clearly set free by Mattel’s design team.

Rounding out the display were WWE Legends exclusive to MattyCollector.com, with the already released Andre the Giant towering over upcoming figures of Diamond Dallas Page, King Kong Bundy and Arn Anderson. New belts on display included Arn’s Tag Team Championship, Evan Bourne’s Unified Tag Team Championship and the Bella Twins’ Diva’s Championship.

Overall, a light but solid display showed that Mattel’s WWE wrestling action figure line shows no signs of slowing down.
