About a month or so ago, you guys announced that there are plans for figures of Trent Barreta and Curt Hawkins. Thanks for listening to our feedback. Personally, these are my two most anticipated figures. When can we expect to see them, and in which line(s) will we see them in (Basic, Elite, 2-Pack)?
Too early for the official announcement. Only one is concrete in 2012 plans right now.

He's finally getting a major push and yesterday got a lot of air time and a great response from the crowd. and if so, here's my part 2 question...
Is there a way to release an Internet Championship belt but modified so it doesn't have other copyrighted companies on it?
. We Do not know if we can do the Internet title yet, but I can guarantee you that if we do it will NOT have any third party logos on (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) This is a legal issue we can not work around.

I'm a big Randy Orton fan and I really like all your Orton figures. My only criticism is that the elite versions do seem just a bit too thin. Would Mattel ever considering using a thicker body for Orton? I think the Elite 7 DH Smith body would be the perfect size for Orton, with a more ripped lower torso.
No plans to change him at this time.
I believe you said that all of the legends on the list of 17 would somehow be released and I think Crush was a name on the list. For someone like Crush, any idea which version we could expect to see first? Demolition, Babyface, Heel, Nation of Domination, or DOA?
If we do Crush it will be Demolition Crush first to complete the trio
Are there any plans to secure the rights to Yokozuna in the near future? Mattel seems to do a great job with the bigger guys, so I'm dying to see how you guys would handle the biggest of the big.
Yoko was just added to the WWE Legends program so we are free to use him. But will we…..

Any more info on the Build-A-Figure we heard about for 2012? Will we at least find out more about it at RingsideFest?

Hey Mattel, Thanks again for taking your time to answer some of our questions
1) Is there any information as to why 2 Packs series 12 was canceled? If so who was actually scheduled in that line-up?
Figures from this lineup have actually been dispersed into other assortments, except for Vladimir Koslov for obvious reasons. The Santino from this two pack is the Santino in the Best of Basic 2011.
2) Is it possible to see one or two flashbacks or legends in the basic line, like you guys are doing with the elite line?
Flashbacks is Elite only for now, but that does not mean that older era figures will not appear in the basic line from time to time

Have you thought about making classic championship belts like the ones you make for kids? Perhaps the old winged eagle championship or the classic intercontinental title?
Thought about it but we just don’t think we would be able to sell enough to justify them.

1.) I've been in contact with Sensational Sherri's sister. She says Mattel has talked with Sherri's son about doing a Sherri figure. Is Sherri signed? If so, when will she be out?
Sherri is signed. If Legends is successful in 2012 on Matty she may be in 2013.
2.) Any update on future flashback superstars beyond Kane and Papa Shango?
More are coming!
3.) Lastly, will you offer a subscription for the Legends line on mattycollector.com for those of us that would rather buy all the figures in advance and wait for them to come in stock instead of going to your site to order every time a new figure is released?
We are not planning a Subscription service for WWE at this time.

Assuming Vickie is part of the Basics and not an exclusive, will the Basics now include small accessories like her Cougar necklace?
Accessories in the single basic figures are the exception rather than the rule. We thought it was an important part of Vicki so we worked it in..

1997 era, with the diamonds on the sides of his tights. And per his request he will have the star tattoo on his chest, the first DDP figure to ever have it!
What is you biggest issue when it comes to making all of these figures?
The rising production costs. Each year it gets more and more expensive to produce 6 inch figures, and each year it gets harder and harder to maintain the same level of quality and detail without passing the costs on to you the consumer.
Do you guys personally like the John Cena angry scan? (Summerslam Heritage, Survivor Series Heritage)
It is personally not my favorite but every designer here has personal favorites and least favorites.

ELITE FLASHBACKS
What´s the excact idea behind this? We´ve already heard alot but it´s still not clear if it´ll only be current Superstars in their previous gimmicks or could we expect maybe a Jesse Ventura, Barbarian, Warlord or other talent from the past in there?
Flashbacks are not restricted to only the current roster. This line allows us to celebrate either individuals or moments in Wrestling history and not be restricted by official designations such as current roster or official legends .

Not this year.
3. Will there be Flashbacks in every elite series? We still need plenty of popular characters in elite like Great Khali, Alex Riley, Sin Cara, I just hope these not so popular guys don't get lost in the elite shuffle among upper card talent and flashbacks...
You will be seeing more current debuts in Elite.

Can you make a bigger torso for CM Punk and Miz elite figures? I find that torso to be too skinny for them.
No plans to change them at this time
It was mentioned somewhere that we may see a collect-and-connect figure in the line in the future. Is this still planned? And if so, will it be a figure like a referee or announcer, or will it be a superstar/diva?
It is still coming.
I think you did an excellent job on Elite 11 CM Punk, but I have 2 problems with it. The first is a personal thing and it is the knee pad choice. I think those knee pads are too big for him and he should have the same knee pads Randy Orton figures have. My second problem is the tattoo placement on his neck. It should be behind his ear. Will these issues be rectified in future figures?
There was no room on his head sculpt to fit the tattoo, so we had to move the placement to represent it. Agreed it is not the ideal placement, but the ideal placement ends up being where the head and neck meet so we had to shift its placement.

Are we any closer to seeing an accurate entrance stage of some kind? I'm not talking elite scale, but something resembling the current WWE HD entrance stage.

No, we probably will never do that. It will only disappoint people if someone on that list never gets a figure. We learned from experience on this one.

Also, are there any neat figures/head sculpts you've designed that didn't make the cut?
We had a great Elite Brian Kendrick jacket ready to go when he got released and we had to scrap it.
Finally, are other Elite figures coming with the red/blue tag titles? What's your suggestion to a collector that wants a complete pair?

First off thanks for taking the time out your day to answer questions from the collectors, sure is great to feel connected to the product.
Are the Legends from the poll you conducted a few weeks back for Mattycollector, officially not being made ever? Or maybe possibly down the line? Really wanted Crush and JYD in my Mattel collection.
Certain options in the poll did so poorly that it would be foolish for Mattel to ever release a figure of that wrestler. We are after all in a business. However there were other options that did well enough to include in a future poll, and these were two of those options. This all hinges on the online Legends program being successful in 2012 however .

That’s our plan
- Will there be enough supply of legends online where everyone has an opportunity to get one rather than a scalper buying 5+ and people miss out? Will legends be offered again, such as the Rockers, or is it a one time only deal?
In my opinion the advantage of legends from Matty will be that everyone will get an equal shot at obtaining them since the entire run will be offered at one place. We will not repeat exact offerings in elite or legends.
- Will there be any backstage play sets, such as an interview area, locker room or other backstage scene(s)?

Bill- Legends 2 Jimmy Snuka – should have gone barefoot. Overthought that one.
Derek – Eve Torres – The paint master looked far better than the final product.
2.) If WWE and Mattel gave you free reign to make on person, who would it be, and what attire would you choose for them?
Bill – WCW era Psychosis
Derek – Hogan from WM3
3.) While I'm tired of EVERYONE asking about the vacuumed belts, even though you've explained it 100 times, I do have a thought...Jakks had metallic belts, but I don't believe they were vacuumed. They weren't near the quality of the original Elite belts, but they are better than the current dull belts. Have you all thought about using their method?

Thanks for taking the time out of your schedule to answer our questions! I'm a recent collector and majority of my questions deal with figures I missed, i.e: rereleases.
-Will we see more Divas figures in the coming months whether it be new or rereleases? I know Alicia Fox has been mentioned as the next debut one in the line. I missed out on Kelly Kelly & Natalya to name a few, and I refuse to submit to outlandish internet prices just to get them.
More divas are coming.
-Any chance of the Matty Collector DDP figure having a nod to the movie, "Ready To Rumble"?
God no.
-Any chance of a Money In The Bank 2011 PPV set? That was one of the most memorable PPVs in quite some time, and the moment I got done watching it I instantly felt that Mattel should do a PPV wave dedicated to it.
