Will we get a Randy Orton with his beard?
Mattel: Yes.
Post by jeffhardyversion2 on Jun 4, 2011, 6:03am
Are the Rockers going to be produced? The protos were AWWWWWWEEEESOMMMMMMMMMMMME! (no pun intended)
Mattel: The Rockers will find a home in our line
Post by ctln4rko on Jun 4, 2011, 6:04am
Will there be any more Edge figures? Preferably elite or defining moments or even legends?
Mattel: Edge was an important part of the WWE. So it would make sense for him to still appear.
Can Mattel try to find and use a new material for coats? The Miz's, Edge's, and Undertaker's coats are really stiff and hard to take off.
Mattel: We are always investigating new materials and we are looking at this issue.

Any plans for an Elite Khali?
Mattel: Not at this point, but things can always change.
Post by dezzydhakidd on Jun 4, 2011, 6:08am
will we get a wrestlemania 27 series
Mattel: Yes
Post by wwefanjames on Jun 4, 2011, 6:10am
Will Sin Cara be made by the end of 2011 ?
Mattel: No. The lead time for an all new character such as Sin Cara is usually around 10 months. Since Sin Cara debuted at the beginning of April he will not be ready until 2012. However we are working on him and will debut him as soon as we can.
Post by tweanimation on Jun 4, 2011, 6:11am
Will we ever see a huge 14 pack from the 7 on 7 nexus vs. wwe match at summerslam??
Mattel: probably not simply due to the cost of the set. But we will get to them individually or in two packs.
Post by expressit on Jun 4, 2011, 6:17am
Why is the official Mattel store never really up to date on figures? Some times they get the new product in really fast, but not the entire series at once. I would think that the official store would have every new product in stock even before retail stores.
Mattel: A lot of it comes down to when figures are produced and who is picking up a shipment at that time. There is no retailer that automatically goes to the front of the line when new figures are produced.
Post by thehardys4life on Jun 4, 2011, 6:18am
Are people like Curt Hawkins, Trent Barreta In the Work For Basics? More importantly Elite??
Mattel: Not at this time, The more they get air time, the more likely they are to get figures.
will we ever see a defining moment with Edge from his TLC match Vs Cena With The Rated R Belt?
Mattel: Potentially. Not scheduled at this time though.
Post by cablev on Jun 4, 2011, 6:36am
Is the inclusion of some of the top Legends(Savage, Warrior, Austin etc) into Rumblers line a possibility?
Mattel: Rumblers is totally a kid focused line, You won’t likely see legends in the line.
How about some Macho Man 'Robe Packs'? Two to four different Defining Moments quality robes w/matching headbands.
Mattel: The market for something like this is too limited to produce, even in small quantities, so most likely no.
Post by canna on Jun 4, 2011, 6:40am
What's the story behind the lack of a Miss Elizabeth figure so far, in both Jakks form and in the transition to the Mattel line? Is she planned, blocked by WWE or is there another reason why she hasn't been released yet?
Mattel: Womens Legends are even more obscure and difficult to sell through than current divas. It’s hard to justify the expense for such low potential volumes.
Can we expect Crush, Yokozuna, Diesel, Lex Luger and Doink soon?
Mattel: At least One of these for sure as plans stand now
Post by jakedaniels on Jun 4, 2011, 6:50am
Were the sales of the Rey Mysterio box set good enough that we may get another evolution of a superstar type boxset? I.e. an evolution of Kane, Undertaker, Triple H or Shawn Michaels?
Mattel: We currently do not have plans for additional evolution box sets.
Post by wyleecyotee on Jun 4, 2011, 7:09am
Are there any plans for titantrons, arenas, etc...?
Mattel: Titan trons and entrance stages are more likely than an entire arena playset. Something that size would be incredibly expensive to produce and hard to place at mass retail
What happened to my free figure?
Mattel: There’s no such thing as a free lunch.
Post by scoobyfc on Jun 4, 2011, 7:19am
With what you said about Owen Hart and Chris Benoit, I think it is fair to say there will be no more questions about them. Are there any others that fall into the same "can't EVER be made" basket?
Mattel: Other prohibitive issues tend to stem for competitive contracts, either with other toy companies or entertainment companies such as TNA or MMA companies.
Post by chrischrome on Jun 4, 2011, 7:24am
Will there be an elite version of all the original Nexus members? I want the Nexus really bad but I only collect Elite-articulated figures...If each member just came with a removable Nexus t-shirt that would be great!
Mattel: Considering the lack of televison time for some of the original members of Nexus it is unlikely in the immediate future. Individually if they get the proper push you could see some of them in Elite. Probably not in Nexus attire though.
Post by carltonfan2010 on Jun 4, 2011, 7:28am
Any chance of ESR add-ons such as Hell in a Cell, Cage match, Elimination Chamber etc. ?
Mattel: We will be offering more event play sets in the future. Most will be retail exclusives. Prob. Not ESR though.
Post by chewdeezy on Jun 4, 2011, 7:43am
Will Ricardo the Ring Announcer for Alberto Del Rio be made?
Mattel: Not in our current plans.
Post by slayknotv1 on Jun 4, 2011, 7:46am
I love the 1/1000 belts & chairs. my question is will you guys be going back to the 1/1000 Belts in the future?
Mattel: The belts were a way to commemorate the introduction of the line. We don’t have plans for another promotion like this currently, but we may again in the future. It will likely depend on interest.
Post by worldwarrior on Jun 4, 2011, 7:49am
I know we've seen HHH's sledge hammer, Sheamus' pipe, and others ,but will we be getting accessories such as ladders, tables, other cool weapons with the Elite line?
Mattel: You will see some more weapons in upcoming figures and sets, but the fact of the matter is that weapons are being used less and less in the entertainment. Our lines tend to be a reflection of the entertainment.
Post by aimmotion on Jun 4, 2011, 7:57am
Whats your favourite mattel figure?
Mattel: Bill – my favorite figure that I worked on would either be Defining Moments Macho Man or Elite 9 Zach Ryder. I dare anyone to compare any action figure form any other company this year and say it is a better product than either of those two figures.
Are you going to make a sandman figure?
Mattel: With the PG nature of WWE he does not fit into plans right now.
Post by juicewinslow on Jun 4, 2011, 8:02am
Will we see a Defining Moments Chris Jericho?
Mattel: Not any time soon since he was done in Entrance Greats.
Post by kingxtream on Jun 4, 2011, 8:02am
when will we get a new elite rey mysterio i want all the colors lol
Mattel: Rey is one of the better selling of the Elite figures so chances are very good.
Post by marino13 on Jun 4, 2011, 8:11am
Within the last few months some of the scans have improved drastically, what has changed to cause this major improvement?
Mattel: We are always looking for ways to improve the figures. In some cases it is easier to make improvements when you can see a few mistakes. It is nice to be working on a line over time when you can see what you did wrong and change it. I big part of it was getting a comfort level going to get some strong expression on the heads.
Post by slinky462 on Jun 4, 2011, 9:14am
Q: are there any plans to start putting divas into the elite series? If so are there any in the works right now?
Mattel: No and no.
Q: will we start seeing more exclusives through other companies besides your big retailers (wal-mart, toys r us, kmart, target, ect....)
Mattel: Exclusives are pretty much reserved for the major retailers and…RSC!!! We will have exclusive product at all these retailers in 2011 and 2012.
Post by dan91 on Jun 4, 2011, 9:31am
do you believe that triple h's figures are too ripped and will this problem be fixed in the near future?
Mattel: This is the first I have heard anyone having an issue with it. Ironically this was the first torso we designed and it was first put on…Triple H. We love it.
Post by the123kid on Jun 4, 2011, 10:10am
1st Q:Will we ever get an action ring with a hole part to put weapons in like the Jakks Hardcore Action ring which was released in 2001?
Mattel: Nope.
2nd Q: Will the elite figures ever have the arm parts like UFC figs?
Mattel: We will probably never copy anything from the UFC Figs, We hate them. Not because they are Jakks, we just think they are bad.
3rd Q: Will we ever get figures of Staff like security and people like that?
Mattel: Unlikely.
Post by adambomb on Jun 4, 2011, 10:17am
Would there ever be a chance of releasing a classic WCW Rey Jr. figure of his old Spider-Man themed attire?
Mattel: Spider-Man is licensed character with another company, so we can’t make him.
Post by someterror on Jun 4, 2011, 10:41am
we know an elite barrett is in the works, but is it based on his nexus period or in his actual corre period? if i could choose, i would prefer a nexus one first...
Mattel:The first Wade will be Nexus.
Post by bendover10100 on Jun 4, 2011, 11:43am
Can we expect a Wrestlemania 28 2-pk Exclusive of the Rock and John Cena featuring the Rock in "I bring it" attire, and shoulder tattoo, and John Cena in whatever color he has at that time (He has a different color almost every WM).
Mattel: You can expect to see more Rock and Cena in various forms and deco in the future.
Post by dan222 on Jun 4, 2011, 1:00pm
Will we see Kaval anytime soon??
Mattel: Not since he left the WWE.
Post by antcon289 on Jun 4, 2011, 3:40pm
with Mick foley getting released from tna is there any chance of a foley figure in the near future ?
Mattel: We hope so, too early to tell though.
Post by awesome on Jun 4, 2011, 3:59pm
When will we get a short haired cm punk?
Mattel: In 2011.
Post by thechamp420 on Jun 4, 2011, 3:59pm
Is there a red or purple attire elite Cena in the works?
Mattel: Both.
Post by pc83uk on Jun 4, 2011, 5:40pm
Can you give us some insight on the planning process? You've said that it takes roughly a year for a figure to get from plan to release... But how far in advance are specific lineups finalised? For example, Basic series 10 is the most recent to hit retail. When would the lineup for that series have been decided?
Mattel: About 1 year earlier for tooling 8 months for deco only.
Post by joerocco217 on Jun 4, 2011, 6:53pm
Will we get molded tshirts for basics? I would love a basic John Cena with a molded shirt.
Mattel: Nope, probably not.
Post by jonjon535353 on Jun 4, 2011, 7:06pm
What’s your favorite part about producing WWE figures?
Mattel: Answering questions on this forum
Will we get a new Orton bearded scan by fall/winter?
Mattel: More like spring summer.
Can wyleecyote please have his free figure? And then can I have one, too, since I'm helping him get his?
Mattel: No, Definitely NO.
Post by dunkytickytacky on Jun 4, 2011, 7:12pm
is there any chance of getting some repainted legends? like barefoot snuka, long haired rick rude, jake the snake and the obvious camo sgt slaughter?
Mattel: Jake was included with the WWE All Stars 2 packs. No immediate plans on the others right now.
Post by twiztidn9ne on Jun 4, 2011, 9:43pm
Most of the guys you've released since last year have had both a basic and elite by now. One that hasn't got an elite though is Primo. Is there any plans to make one?
Mattel: Based on televison time, right now no.
Post by wyleecyotee on Jun 5, 2011, 4:10am
How many Q&A's will you be doing per year?
Mattel: As many as we can stand to do. :o)
Post by zombieapocalypse on Jun 5, 2011, 6:32am
If you guys made a Legends Doink the Clown would you consider making Dink the clown as a variant? seeing how he could probably use the same parts as hornswoggle
Mattel: If we made Dink it would not be as a variant but as its own figure. Notice I said IF we made Dink and not WHEN we make Dink.
Post by kevinandrewc on Jun 5, 2011, 8:16am
Since we clearly won't see Hogan, Flair, Sting, or Lesnar for a while, would it be possible to make generic bodies for these guys with someone else's head so we can we make customs? Obviously you can't really put tattoos on Lesnar's back, but you can make him broad shouldered. You can have a somewhat tall figure with red knee pads, yellow boots and trunks with big arms so our custom Hogan doesn't have be as short as Warrior or need a custom paint job. Just as THQ gives us these options in the create-a-wrestler mode, you could do similar things here, but we'd have to provide our own heads (from Jakks, obviously). Are there any plans for something similar to this?
Mattel: No, no way, no how.
Post by xbpx on Jun 5, 2011, 10:16am
Why some Superstars have got colored tattoos while they're into a Basic line and why some like "CM Punk" have black inks?
Mattel: That is due to the number of tattoos CM Punk has. $$$$$$.

Greetings MDT, I am almost 30 years old and not ashamed to say that I am a huge fan of the new WWE Rumblers line. It is such an innovative and artistic line and I hope that it will continue to develop in the future. To me, the line strongly resembles the spirit of the 'Toy Story 3' "Buddy Packs" and other related products by Mattel which I am also a huge fan of. I am curious as to your assessment of how the 'Rumblers' line has been received by the consumer and how sales have been. Will we see more of this line beyond series 3? Best regards, Joe.
Mattel: Joe, first of all thanks, and yes the Rumblers line was inspired by the Buddy paks. Rumblers has been doing very well and we have plans for Rumblers as far out as we can currently see. At least through 2012.
Post by cena0224 on Jun 5, 2011, 1:50pm
Will we ever see a Kane in debut attire?
Mattel: Stay tuned for more details.
(From Boss Bill) - Hey Bill, you’re not allowed to say “Stay Tuned”. What do you want to do move over to marketing???
Post by adambomb on Jun 6, 2011, 7:24am
Might I inquire on some of Mattel's sculptors for the WWE lines? Especially the Legends and the Rumblers - I know a lot of what you guys use is the scanning technology, but I also know some of what goes on is by hand, I'd think especially with the Rumblers. I'd love to know who puts their work into these awesome collectibles from that aspect!
Mattel: They are digitally sculpted by Mattel employees
Also, will future CM Punk figures (such as the masked Punk or short haired versions) have his small tattoo behind his left ear?
Mattel: Look for it on an upcoming Elite Punk
Post by pj2 on Jun 6, 2011, 9:31am
Is there a way you guys can check the hips on the Elite styled figures to make sure they are working correctly? I've yet to have an issue with the All-Stars which is odd seeing they use the same parts...But many of my Legends (Including all Legends 2-Packs) the hips are locked and won't move forward without twisting and damaging the stem they are attached to. You have to run them under hot water for 2 or 3 minutes before they loosen up and can move without twisting the stem. But even then with some of the figures once they cool off they stick again.
Mattel: We are working on this problem. Whenever we see it pop up, we make adjustments.
Post by hacker on Jun 6, 2011, 6:34pm
How many Tough Enough contestants are on your radar for figures in the next year? Any besides the winner? Will the winner even be in the works before he debuts in WWE as a regular? I know it takes a year to produce a new talent's figure. Just curious how far off we are from seeing him in figure form.
Mattel: It will depend on Andy’s involvement with the regular WWE entertainment.
Post by nathanielnd on Yesterday at 1:31pm
Do you think if Jeff Hardy hadn't left the WWE and did what he did, would he be as mass produced as Cena, Mysterio, and Undertaker?
Mattel: Probably
What is your guys' favorite figure to design?
Mattel: I’m looking at a Sheamus on my desk that just might be my favorite figure so far.
