At last year’s Dominion event, Kazuchika Okada lost the IWGP Heavyweight Title in what many considered the best wrestling match in history. For 365 days, Okada went through a rebuilding process and this past April he reclaimed the title and seemingly never looked back. At this year’s Dominion, he faces off against a man who has also rebuilt himself. Unlike Okada, Chris Jericho has morphed into this sadistic, tormented, nightmarish figure that unleashes hell on his opponents and everything else around him.

In Okada’s latest reign as champion, this match will be his toughest. Chris Jericho has a career that spans over 20 years with accolades that include him winning championships in virtually every promotion he has wrestled for including right here in New Japan. This version of Chris Jericho is out for blood. As great of a wrestler he is, he isn’t looking for a wrestling contest against the Rainmaker but rather a fight for the championship.
