Developing a great short-term brand is quite easy if you have the resources - overhead, promotional budget. You can throw the kitchen sink at a brand and maximize it.
Developing a good long-term brand is painfully difficult.
Talk is cheap.
What matters most is what you do over the long haul.
My objective as long as I’m in entertainment brand management is to develop/maintain good, long-term brands. I will continue to manage your expectations correctly… with only limited politicing or BS.
In the meantime, I am also a fan of entertainment toy brand collectors and entertainment toy brands. I was one of the first on the web (1987 - single node BBS’s on a 1200 baud modem), one of the first who truly understood toys as collectibles (1996 - launched a series of collector focused websites fostering online communities and transactional opportunities), and one of the first in brand management to care about you. And I do. And I have. And I will.
