Notes from the Mattel WWE Figure Design Team about Elite 26:
Notes on this set:
Swagger will also come with a standard sized ladder.
Reigns
will come with two straight ringside barricades and a breakaway curved
section so you can spear other figures through the barricades. No black
wrist tape on the wrists is an oversight on my part. I was so concerned
about getting the new full sleeve tattoo right that I forgot to add the
tape, so I'll take the blame on that. Figure was sculpted and when he
was wearing the older vest style. New vest not done in time to include
on the figure ( the new vest shown at RSF is literally one of only 2
samples in the world right now and we do not have time to shut down
production to swap out the vests)
Big E will also come with the breakaway bench from the new back stage playset so he can do proper bench presses.
Road
Dogg comes with 2 sleeveless shirts. We have redesigned the closures on
the sides to make them MUCH easier to assemble and stay on.
Henry
is a repaint but up until a week ago he had not changed his overall
look in 5 years since we began the line. I love the BENT ON DESTRUCTION
shirt so that was going on the figure for sure.
Warrior is one
of the favorite figures I have ever worked on. He comes with no
accessories since the amount of deco we needed to create his singlet
properly precluded us being able to add any. I would have liked to mix
up the coloring on the boot tassels a bit more but each tassel would
have been a separate color hit which would not have been within the
budget for the figure ( as it is we hit the budget target for this wave
with absolutely no leeway)
So this is what we wanted to show at RSF.
Thanks
Bill
