We have major news for the next EVOLVE events. Let’s get to it….
New Events: Livonia, MI has given EVOLVE a home. Now we are bringing the family. Friday, May 11th will see a SHINE and EVOLVE double header! EVOLVE will make its Indianapolis, IN debut on May 12th. Info for all three events will be available soon in the WWNLive.com Events section.
Adam Cole’s Opponents: The news is trending on WWE.com! NXT superstar Adam Cole will take on Shane Strickland at EVOLVE 121 on February 15th in Atlanta. The Undisputed Era superstar will then face Darby Allin at EVOLVE 122 on February 16th in Charlotte. Cole will also take part in meet & greets at both events. Go to Etix.com now for tickets.
WWN Title Match Signed: WWN Champion JD Drake will defend vs. EVOLVE Tag Team Champion Montez Ford of The Street Profits at EVOLVE 122. Montez pinned Drake in a tag team title defense last November and defeated Eddie Kingston in his first EVOLVE singles match last month. Can he become WWN Champion?
Rematch Signed: Darby Allin vs. Josh Briggs opened up the historic EVOLVE 114. Allin was victorious. The two crossed paths in the main event of the last EVOLVE event. Briggs wants a rematch and he’ll get it at EVOLVE 121.
EVOLVE Year End Awards: You have voted and we have the winners for the 2018 EVOLVE Year End Awards….
WWN Match Of The Year: WWN officials voted on this category, which included every WWN brand. Matt Riddle vs. Will Ospreay at the WWN Supershow was voted as the WWN Match Of The Year.
Wrestler Of The Year: Matt Riddle wins with 44% of the vote. Darby Allin comes in 2nd at 32%.
Tag Team Of The Year: The Street Profits gain 35% of the vote to edge out Chris Dickinson & Jaka with 33%.
Show Of The Year: EVOLVE 102 wins easily with 49% of the vote. EVOLVE 117 is 2nd with 26% of the vote.
Match Of The Year: Matt Riddle vs. Keith Lee at EVOLVE 105 wins at 46% compared to runner up Zack Sabre Jr. vs. WALTER at EVOLVE 99 with 29%.
Moment Of The Year: Matt Riddle winning the EVOLVE Title at EVOLVE 102 captures this category at 44%. NXT superstars showing up at EVOLVE 114 and Joey Janela winning the WWN Title at EVOLVE 106 tie for 2nd place at 26%.
Rivalry Of The Year: Matt Riddle vs. Shane Strickland walks away with this category at 46% of the vote. Darby Allin vs. winning a championship takes 2nd place at 25%.
