BEALCON 2006 CONVENTION

Hey Fans:
I just got back from a wrestling convention held in Baltimore, Md. It was called Bealcon 2006, named after the promoter of the event. The wrestling stars in attendance included Outback Jack, Jimmy and Johnny Valiant, Lanny Poffo, Rocky Johnson, Nikolai Volkoff, The Iron Sheik, Afa the Wild Samoan, Captain Lou Albano, King Kong Bundy, and Kamala! I was suprised with the lack of attendance for the event. If they were lucky maybe 50 people were there, and that is pushing it! The promoter seemed very pushy with trying to make a buck.(Knowing he was going to take a bath on this event) For instance, he did not like the fact that I took pictures of the stars with my camera. He wanted to charge me for this! However, the stars of the event were outstanding! Special kudos go out to Jimmy and Johnny Valiant, Lanny Poffo, The Iron Sheik, and Kamala. These aforementioned stars went out of there way to talk about stories from back in the day! Particularly there travels in Central Pennsylvania. It was a great pleasure going back in time. I will send pictures soon!

It's a shame these get togethers have had such low attendances lately. I truly feel that there are too many of them out there now. It was much better when only 3 or 4 were done a year. And I feel the wrestling fans of today are much younger, the older fans have abandoned the sport.
And while listing these events, I see everyone is using the same talent. So how many times are the fans going to want to come out and see the same faces.....
