WRESTLING: (n.) ’res-ling A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.
ANARCHY: (n.) an-ar-key (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.
What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!

- This week’s episode of NWA Anarchy concludes two week coverage of the Mysterious Benefactor tag team tournament.

1. SEMIFINALS: Chad Parham & Jeff Lewis w/Jeff G. Bailey vs. Seth Delay & Patrick Bentley.
THE MATCH: “Technical Perfection” Chad Parham is an awesome wrestler, but according to color commentator John Johnson, did you know that he is the Red Cross of NWA Anarchy because he shows charity and goodwill to all men? Lovely. Bentley hits a spinning armdrag on Parham, which is something you don’t see every day. After a commercial break, Parham turns Arn Anderson and hammerlock slams Bentley. Lovelier. Parham slaps on an armbar. Bentley connects with the electric chair drop, but Parham manages to hold on to his arm. Lewis tags in and continues to work over Bentley’s arm. Parham tags back in and ends up finding himself on the wrong end of a wheelbarrow victory roll. Delay receives the hot tag and cleans house. Bentley in plenty rested and heads in to slap the full nelson on Lewis. And on cue, Bailey leaps on the apron to protest. This provides Parham ample opportunity to land a top rope double stomp on Bentley to help the NWA elite advance to the finals.
WINNER: Parham & Lewis.
COMMENTS: This was a decent match that featured a few flashy moves by Bentley like the wheelbarrow victory roll. It was fairly predictable that two of Anarchy’s main eventers won this contest. It’s amazing how good all four wrestlers are and that Bailey is the consummate manager.
RATING: *¾

2. SEMIFINALS: Jeremy V & Jason Blackman vs. Slim J & Ace Rockwell.
THE MATCH: J & Rockwell dominate the opening minutes. They double team Blackman with a variety of atomic drops before sending him and V to the floor. The heels take time for a breather, but it doesn’t seem to help them when J counters a Fireman’s carry into an inverted DDT on Blackman. V and Rockwell tag in. Rockwell prevents some lower case V’s by headbutting him in the groin. The heels finally take over Blackman knees Rockwell and V adds a backbreaker variation for a two count. They dominate Rockwell using traditional heel tactics such as eye gouges, chokes and blind tags. Johnson admits that he is like all other referee because he has a price, but his was just lower. Rockwell connects with a spinebuster on V and makes the hot tag to J. J literally cleans house on the rudo contingent. J lands a somersault kick on Blackman before tagging to Rockwell. Blackman sends Rockwell over the top rope to the floor. Blackman heads over to J and turnbuckle whips him. They connect with the VKO and the Kick of Death. They kick J to the floor. Blackman diverts his attention to J on the floor. Rockwell sees an opening and pins V with the Ace’s High. The 5 year old kid that thought the abacus was a rack of Cheerios and ate them has managed to outwit the bad guys.
WINNER: Slim J & Ace Rockwell.
COMMENTS: Again, this was a well executed standard tag match that told a good story. It sets up for Rockwell a chance to exact more revenge on the Rejects or the Rejects to inflict more punishment on them. V & Blackman are awesome heels and could easily start a riot if they wrestled in front of a mark crowd. Their reputation wasn’t hurt by the loss.
RATING: **¼

- The inaugural edition of Sal’s Rinauro Show That Totally Rules is up next. But before he starts you must answer the following riddle: how much did the pirate spend on an earring? ARRRRRRRRR! Sorry, wrong answer! The correct answer: a buccaneer. HA! HA! HA! Bad joke. His guest is none other than Mr. Bookerman himself, Todd Sexton. They sit down to have a nice little chat. Sal acts Sexton how are things going on in the back. Todd plugs the Mysterious Benefactor finals and says it will also be for the NWA Anarchy Tag Titles. He predicts Ace & Slim will win, but the smarks in the audience have other ideas. Sal asks about Chad Parham, but Todd has no comment. Sal asks why Sexton has had trouble with champions lately. Sexton doesn’t want to name names, but some champions are a little bit too scared to defend their titles, i. e. Brandon Phoenix. Well, guest what happens next? Brandon’s music echoes throughout the NWA Arena. Todd asks for a vet as Phoenix and Brody Ray Chase make their way to the ring. Sal thanks the unwelcomed guests for their rude interruption. Chase says Sal is right for once! They are mad because the best tag team in Anarchy is not in the tournament nor are they receiving a title shot (at the Rejects.) Todd says he isn’t talking about the tag champions ducking challengers; he’s talking about “that title…” the TV Title. He asks them would they be interested in competition for the title next week. Chase blathers about how he is the trainer of champions and Brandon P may be the greatest TV of all time. Besides, Brandon could beat anybody and make them tap out and beg. Todd takes it that Brandon wants comp. He ponders who he could get to face the TV champion. Sal insinuates himself by coughing his own name into the mike. It’s only fair, it’s his show and it totally rules. Todd says he has an idea and asks what Sal is doing next week. Sal says he has nothing planned. Well, you know where we’re headed next. Todd say’s it’ll be you (Sal) vs. Brandon Phoenix in the NWA Arena. Just as it seems we have the segment wrapped up, Chad Parham’s music plays. Sal welcomes the uninvited Chad to the party. Parham says he doesn’t have all night to deal with anyone. He thanks Mr. Bookerman for putting the tag titles on the line in the main event. Chad drops the line that Todd has been riding his career and slams the mike on his chest before heading back to the locker room. Sal closes out by thanking the crowd. Who wrote the script for this segment? Predicable as hell, but fun as watching John Cena getting his ass whipped.

3. FINALS & NWA Anarchy Tag Titles: Chad Parham & Jeff Lewis w/Jeff G. Bailey vs. Slim J & Ace Rockwell vs. Devil’s Rejects (Tank & Iceberg) (ch.) w/Dan Wilson & the Staff of Righteousness.
FIRST FALL STIPULATION: Texas tornado rules.
FIRST FALL: This match starts out as a 2 on 4 affair. Iceberg avalanches J in the corner. No man can be left standing after that. Tank and Lewis places J’s finger in the turnbuckle post. Lewis mounts the top turnbuckle and steps on his hand. Iceberg destroys Rockwell with a killer legdrop. John Johnson can’t believe that Bailey would stoop so low as to team with the Rejects. Tank tosses J to the floor, which makes it 4 on 1. Iceberg tosses J to the floor, which leaves two heel teams in the ring. They high five, but Lewis sucker kicks Tank. Parham slaps on a sleeper and Lewis goes to town until Rockwell catches Parham with the Ace’s High. J goes Superfly on Lewis and pins the NWA Anarchy champion. PARHAM & LEWIS ELIMINATED.
SECOND FALL: After a commercial break, J & Rockwell wail away on Iceberg. THEY DOUBLE SUPLEX ICEBERG! Rockwell makes the cover, but Iceberg kicks out at two. Rockwell lands a missile dropkick. Meanwhile, Tank heads to the back and brings out one of Sabu’s favorite weapons: the table. Johnson blathers about Bailey, but Hunter responds by accusing Bailey of embezzling money, not embellishing it. J humbles Iceberg. Tank finally makes it to the ring apron, but the faces continue to dominate Iceberg. Iceberg fights back with a spinebuster. Iceberg continues to play the heel in pearl. Johnson says he would cheer for bin Laden if he would save his paycheck. That’s pretty low. Iceberg finally makes the hot tag to Tank after slamming Rockwell. They get into a ##### slap fight and Rockwell wins that battle with the Ace’s High, but Iceberg makes the save. As J heads to the top rope, Wilson distracts the referee by climbing on the ring apron. Shaun Tempers heads out from the back and shoves J’s ass all the way down to the arena floor. And for good measure, Slim J went through the table as well. Tank pulls up Rockwell on what appeared to be an easy pin attempt. However, Tank decides that Rockwell needs to be further punished. Iceberg mounts the top rope and squashes Rockwell with the Ground Zero splash for the win. Johnson calls this is the most disgusting thing he has ever seen and slams his mike as walks away. I love Anarchy.
WINNER: Devil’s Rejects retain NWA Anarchy Tag Titles and 2006 Mysterious Benefactor Tournament champions.
COMMENTS: The wrestling was enjoyable and the potential storylines make for an interesting future. The thought of two major heel factions feuding could make for some fun matches, especially from great masterminds like Bailey and Wilson. If these two factions feud (I believe they are set to feud according to current storylines in present day Anarchy, remember Anarchy TV is about 2 months behind), you can look forward to some hellacious interviews and great wrestling. I’ll take that feud and watch it during RAW. It was strange to see Iceberg playing a heel-in-peril roll, especially J & Rockwell using some heel tactics to maintain the advantage. The only negative, it seemed like the heels forgot to continue to work over Slim J’s hand after they hurt it early on. I would have thought that would have been a focal point. However, that is only a minor gripe and the bump J took through the table was good. Johnson sold the match ending and proved how great he is a color commentator by playing face or heel.
RATING: **¾

- OVERALL: This week’s episode features a good mix of storytelling and mike work. It’s hard enough to book three or four tag matches in one night, but to have nine of them (six from last week’s episode and three for this week) is insane. Nearly every match was different and helped to move along ongoing storylines. With an excellent segment featuring Sal Rinauro’s new segment coupled with three good matches, this week’s episode is definitely worth the download.
