OVW's Damian Adams Returns Home @ IWF March Madness Weekend:
Challenges for IWF Title March 25; Stride Awaits Winner on March 26
(West Paterson, NJ)- Live Independent Wrestling Federation action returns with March Madness Weekend this Saturday, March 25, 7:30 pm and Sunday, March 26, 3:30 pm, at IWF Centre, West Paterson, NJ. Featured is an appearance by one of the IWF's all-time most popular stars! Here is a preview.
On the latest edition of IWF Eruption TV Online, BoneCrusher Fred Sampson with the help of Dangerous Dan McGuire and Aaron Stride, took Commissioner Rich Ross hostage in his own office and forced the corrupt commish to sign matches and stipulations unfavorable to The Ross Family.
On Saturday, March 25th, in the first of a Double Main Event, there will be an IWF Heavyweight Title Match as former champion and OVW star Damian Adams returns home to the IWF to collide with four-time champion Kevin Knight. Both Adams and Knight are triple crown winners, having held Heavyweight, American and Tag Team gold. Knight took the title from Adams in controversial fashion five months ago at Evil Intentions October 22nd, and the long-awaited rematch takes place with special guest referee Aaron Stride. Also, Rich Ross has been banned from ringside during March Madness Weekend by Sampson.
In the other Double Main Event, its a Best 2/3 Falls Match for the IWF Tag Team Titles as Fred Sampson and Dan McGuire unite to face three-time champions Shawn Donavan and Travis Blake. Sampson and McGuire teamed with WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana to upend The Ross Family last month at February Fury, and with momentum on their side they look to strip the titles from Simply Stellar and end their five-month reign. Further, McGuire hasn't forgotten that Donavan and Blake were responsible for his loss of the Junior Title.
In a return match for the IWF American Title, it's an Amateur Wrestling Challenge as champion Justin Corino tangles with former champion Outlaw Shane O'Brien of The Ross Family. The roughneck Outlaw scored a pin on Corino last month on February 26th in a tag match after blasting the champ in the head with his loaded forearm cast. In this rematch issued by Sampson, amateur wrestling rules apply which heavily favor Corino, a former amateur champion.
The Hott n' Heavy duo of Aaron Stride and Biggie Biggs square off against arch-rivals Tony Torres and Antonio Rivera of Latin Revolution. At February Fury, Biggs met both Torres and Rivera in singles matches and was the recipient of brutal double-team tactics. This month, the sides will be even in this tag encounter.
In what's sure to be an action-packed affair, a Fatal-Four-Way Elimination Match for the IWF Junior Title takes place as new champion Nick Sabre meets Radical Robby Morrison, Jasin Karloff, and the returning Tommy Trouble who himself is a former Junior Champion. Can Sabre survive and extend his one-month reign?
In another return match from February Fury, Chris Steeler meets the 350-pound mastodon Franciz. They traded victories last month, and look to settle the score on March 25th.
Day two of March Madness Weekend on Sunday, March 26th features a Double Main Event as number one contender in-waiting Aaron Stride challenges for the IWF Heavyweight Championship against the winner of the Damian Adams - Kevin Knight match from March 25th. This will be Stride's first shot at IWF Heavyweight gold.
Also featured is an 18-Man Over-The-Top-Rope Rumble to determine the number one contender for an IWF Heavyweight Title Match at the 9th Annual Reckless Abandon Anniversary Event on Saturday, April 22. All the IWF superstars and Camp IWF Wrestling School standouts are entered, including Fred Sampson, Shawn Donavan, Travis Blake, Shane O'Brien, Dan McGuire, Biggie Biggs, Justin Corino, Tony Torres, Antonio Rivera, Nick Sabre, Chris Steeler, Franciz, Tommy Trouble, Mike Durnin, Steve Camacho, Steve Off and Frank Scoleri.
