Funk's Corner - Destination X, Could it be "Christian's Last Stand?"
Sunday March 12 at 8:00pm Eastern Only 28 days into his NWA World Championship reign, Christian Cage must put it all on the line against "The Alpha Male," Monty Brown. Christian has a lot to learn about wrestling a bigger, stronger and ferocious opponent. As seen on Impact, Christian put himself in a dangerous position and paid dearly when he was driven off the 12 foot stage into the rail by Monty Brown and had to be carried from the TNA Arena. Monty Brown did not care where or how Christian landed after the "Pounce." There is now a fear factor that Christian will have to overcome to hang on to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
Ultimate X - Samoa Joe, A. J. Styles and Christopher Daniels - I have been in Texas Death Matches, Russian Chain Matches, Arabian Sand Matches, Steel Cage Matches, Coal Miner Glove Matches and German Blood Matches. Matches. I have not seen anything as demanding as the Ultimate X match. In any other confrontation I would say Samoa Joe is the favorite hands down. He is the biggest, the strongest and most sadistic, He likes to hurt people. His finishing hold, the Rear Choke with a Top Body Scissors is the most devastating in TNA but at 6' 3" tall and 290 pounds, he is not going to be able to apply it 20 feet in the air. The match puts the Samoan Submission Machine at a disadvantage. Christopher Daniels has to be the underdog, A. J. Styles the favorite.
Eight Man Tag Team - There is nothing more ominous than stepping into the ring opposite a team like 3-D, Rhino and Ron "The Truth" Killings. There are two former NWA World Champions in Killings and Rhino and the current All Japan Pro-wrestling Real World League Tag Team Champions, 3-D. On the other side, 5 time NWA World Champion, Jeff Jarrett, America's Most Wanted and the most fearful of them all Abyss. All eight wrestlers are legitimate contenders for the NWA World Championship with Jeff Jarrett at the top of the list. This match features three NWA World Champions (Jarrett, Killings and Rhino) and two World Tag Team Champions (AMW and 3-D) along with the man I would fear most in a back alley, Abyss.
Latin American Exchange vs James Gang - The Latin American Exchange are led by the man who holds the record for the largest gate in the history of wrestling in Mexico. (48,000 people in Mexico City - Konnan vs Cien Carras) They are facing the James Gang, Kip James and B. G. James led by "Bullet Bob Armstrong."
