Funk's Corner - Christian Cage, a License to Fly

They say as a pilot, the most dangerous time is the first hundred hours after earning their license to fly.
As NWA World Champion, Christian's most dangerous time will be the first few opponents he faces.
Christian is highly motivated by his critics. As he said in his speech on Impact, "They said that I didn't have it. They said I was too small. They said the people weren't behind me and when the people supported me, They said the people don't know anything. According to Christian, "my critics made me better; they made me a better performer."
As the new NWA World Champion with a desire to prove his critics wrong and please his "Peeps," Christian most likely will take chances in his first match as champion with high risk and spectacular moves.
Christian's first opponent will be "The Alpha Male," Monty Brown Sunday March 12 at 8:00pm on Pay Per View from Universal Studios in Orlando at Destination X.
Monty Brown knows the experience of playing for the most coveted spot as Monty has two Superbowl appearances playing linebacker for the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots. Monty is a hungry man fighting his way up in professional wrestling. He has the, "Killer Instinct" and the "Power of the Pounce" to make him a very credible challenger. He also has the experience of having a title shot for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on January 16, 2005 at TNA Final Resolution 2005 where he was defeated by the reigning champion, Jeff Jarrett.
If Christian survives Monty Brown there are more waiting for their chance including the Number One Contender and five time NWA World Champion Jeff Jarrett who has proved himself a legend in his own time.
TNA's roster is deep with wrestling talent capable of challenging for the NWA World Championship including the most punishing wrestler since Johnny Valentine, Samoa Joe, The "Man Beast" Rhino, The Phenominal A. J. Styles, considered by some to be the best wrestler ever, The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels and Chris Sabin who will be back at full strength at Destination X.
Christian Cage has earned his license to fly. Can he survive as NWA World Champion?
