Once again another problem at the Makropoulos' household.  Can't wait for 2007 to begin.

I am currently updating on dial up, since my Time Warner Cable modem is not working at all.

Time Warner can not come to my home until Wednesday at 12 Noon.

So you won't be seeing many updates until my modem comes back.. It will be a slow week anyway, due to the holidays.

I received a nice Christmas card from Bobby Davis (Buddy Rogers' manager)  He is in full remission from his prostate cancer and doing great.  That is fabulous news.

‘Twas the night before Christmas,

    In the year 2-oh-oh six,

As we wrestling junkies,

    Search high and low for our fix.

The biggest news by far,

   In our modern lore,

Is the return of  extreme

   once thought hardcore.

In the glare of the spotlight,

   RVD took the lead,

To have it all crash on down,

   Because of some weed.

“Oh come on!” said the internet barrage,

   Van Dam got thirty days,

 To clean out his garage.

   “It wasn’t crack, meth or even some blow”,

But it sure worked out great,

   For new champion, Big Show.

Some of the matches were fantastic,

  Though it may sound like I’m dissin’

I just can’t help think,

  That something major is missing.

It used to be about

  The action in-ring.

But I just can’t get passed,

  The whole “Vampire” thing.

After “December to Dismember”

  Paul E. got a raw deal

Crying all the way home,

   Knowing now how fans feel.

ECW is dead,

   The body cremated

This new Sci-Fi show,

   Not even remotely related.

The show isn’t bad,

   But it’s just not the same,

So, by all means you should keep it,

   Just under a new name.

I tuned in on Raw,

  And start to see red,

John Cena toe to toe,

  With rapper, K-Fed?

For some main stream press,

  Our intelligence was insulted.

Was it because of Melina,

  Divorce had resulted?

On January first,

   A title match we will get,

One thing comes to mind,

  And that thing is David Arquette.

Wussy entertainers

   in the whole wrestling scene

Just one of the reasons,

   I just want to scream!

I changed over to Spike,

  To see a good fight.

Is this TNA,

   Or Monday Night Raw lite?

Angle and Cage,

   I sure understand

But Tyson Tomko?

   He should have been banned.

And the VKM challenge

   To the returning DX

A cross-promotional match up

   Will never be next.

So why even bother,

   To give the competition some time?

Let’em buy a commercial

   And spend their own dime.

For many years,

   We’ve seen quality slide.

Sacrificing the art,

    While creativity died.

Its “sports entertainment”

    Lately without too much sport,

We want to see wrestling,

    Vince, the ball’s in your court.

It’s the hurricanrana,

    That makes the crowd pop.

The backstage vignettes,

    And epic promos should stop.

Take a look and the product,

    And take care of the boys.

You’ll still get the viewers,

    And sell T-shirts and toys.

Because the only reason

     I tear the industry apart,

Is because of the love of it

    I bear in my heart.

To all the boys and the gals

   Who are making a name,

To whom entertaining,

    Is the part of the game.

I hope that your passion,

    In your souls it should stay,
