International Incident
Thursday, September 15, 2005, 7:30 p.m.
Ciociaro Club in Oldcastle, Ontario, Canada:

GUTTER & TYSON DUX defeated JOHN E. BRAVO & GEZA KALMAN, JR. w/"SMOOTH
MOVER" CHRIS PILLON - Before the match, Pillon got on the mic and said
that if the crowd didn't notice, somebody was "missing from the other
end of this crutch," alluding to the former Trump Card manager, Jimmy
Trump.  Mid-match, Trump made his way out to ringside, neck brace and
all.  In the ring, Pillon grabbed a chair to lay out Gutter, but Trump
grabbed the end of the chair, preventing it.  Pillon kept pulling until
finally Trump released his grip, and Pillon accidentally took out John
E. Bravo instead.  Gutter was able to hit the Diamond Gutter on Geza,
but only managed a two-count.  Gutter took off after Jimmy Trump,
allowing Geza to finish off Dux with the Geza Bomb, for the pin.
Afterwards, Pillon & Trump got into a shoving match.  Both left in
separate corners, but argued all the way to the back.
TRACI BROOKS pinned "THE ONE AND ONLY" JAIME D (TNA's female Gutcheck
Challenge Winner) in a Divas match.
CONRAD KENNEDY III (CK3), JOE DOERING & JIMMY JACOBS defeated BRAD
"FREAKIN'" MARTIN, PHIL ATLAS & EL REVERSO, putting Team America up by
one point in the Can-Am Cup tournament.  Martin & CK3's partners were
unknown until they were introduced.  CK3 claimed that he knew Martin's
partners weeks in advance, and found someone to combat both Atlas &
Reverso equally.  He chose the massive Joe Doering to ground Reverso,
and chose Atlas's own tag team partner and one half of the BCW Tag Team
Champions, Jimmy Jacobs.  Before they made their way to the ring, CK
told Jacobs that he'd better recognize that he's wrestling for Old
Glory, or else they're going to torture him so slowly, he's going to
think it's a career.  Jacobs told him he didn't know what he was
talking about, because [Jacobs] hails from Parts Unknown.  Jacobs
failed to get involved in the match until the end.  CK laid out Atlas
with a torture rack backbreaker, but there was no referee to count.  CK
went for a chair to hit Atlas, but Jacobs took it away from him, saying
that it wasn't fair.  While Jacobs was disposing of the chair, CK
grabbed one of the tag team titles and flattened both Jacobs & Atlas,
then dragged Jacobs on top of Atlas to give his team the win.
TEAM CANADA (JOHNNY DEVINE & ERIC YOUNG) defeated AMERICA'S MOST WANTED to tie the score at 1-1.  Before the match, Chris Harris said the
Canadians in the crowd were the most disrespectful, obnoxious people
he's ever seen.  He said the only reason AMW had come back is because
it gives them a chance to break Devine & Young's necks.  James Storm
called them better than the Road Warriors, the Dudleys, and the Hart
Foundation, and promised the beat the living hell out of the Canadians
and go back to America with their heads held high.  AMW spent the early
part of the match working on Johnny Devine's knee and keeping him away
from his tag team partner.  Devine finally got the tag, and Young
cleaned house.  Devine and Young got a two-count after a
Stunner/elbowdrop combo.  AMW gained control back, and tried to hit the
Death Sentence, but Young countered and landed a superkick for two.
AMW turned to dirty tactics, with Harris hitting Devine with a pair of
handcuffs.  With him out cold, AMW again went for the Death Sentence,
but Young pulled Storm out, and Devine caught Harris by surprise with a
backslide for the pin.
RHINO pinned "MR. CLASS" A-1 with a gore in a #1 contender match for
the BCW Heavyweight Title.  This also put Team America ahead by 1 point
in the Can-Am Cup tournament.
- INTERMISSION (Team America 2 points, Team Canada - 1 point) -
BCW TV Champion PETEY WILLIAMS retained against JERRY LYNN, tying the
score 2-2.  This was an amazing contest between pound-for-pound, two of
the best wrestlers in the world.  Lynn had Williams in a Sharpshooter
early on and was booed by the Canadian crowd.  However, Williams locked
the same maneuver on Lynn later, much to the fans' delight.  Petey
picked up the win with the Canadian Destroyer, and both men received a
standing ovation.
"THE MONSTER" ABYSS pinned BOBBY ROODE to become the new BCW
Heavyweight Champion, and pick up the win for Team America in the final
match of the Can-Am Cup.  Abyss thought it was over when he hit Shock
Treatment, but Roode kicked out at two.  Abyss then went to use his
chain, but the referee stopped him and Roode gained control, taking the
big man down with a half crab.  JOE DOERING and CK3 then showed up at
ringside, and while Roode was distracted with Doering, CK3 grabbed the
title belt and laid out Roode.  Abyss made the cover, but the champion
kicked out at 2.  The cavalry showed up in the form of Johnny Devine
and Eric Young, who battled CK & Doering to the back.  Petey Williams
joined the fray, and boldly attempted to take out Abyss with the
Canadian Destroyer, but got caught in the Black Hole Slam.  Roode hit
Abyss with a steel chair, and then knocked the big man's head onto the
chair. Amazingly, Abyss still kicked out on 2.  Roode grabbed the belt,
but the ref took it from him, and when he turned around, Abyss caught
him for a choke slam attempt.  Roode fought out, but Abyss then laid
him out with the Black Hole Slam for the pinfall.  All the wrestlers
who competed for Team America came out to celebrate their team's
victory.  After everyone left the ring, Abyss and Rhino were left
alone, and Rhino surprised everyone, goring the new champion.
CHRIS SABIN pinned "FALLEN ANGEL" CHRISTOPHER DANIELS.  Daniels went
for the Angel's Wings, but Sabin countered with the Cradleshock and
picked up the win.
JEFF JARRETT defeated RAVEN to become the new NWA Heavyweight Champion.
MIKE TENAY was the special guest ring announcer, as regular Jeffrey
Scott had come out of "referee retirement" to officiate this very
important bout.  Tenay told the very excited crowd that this was indeed
a test for TNA house shows, and as far as test locations go, they could
not have picked a better one than Windsor.  He mentioned TNA's debut on
Spike TV on October 1, and said that the following contest would be a
Raven's Rules match.  Jarrett said the only reason he was there in
Canada was to reclaim the NWA Heavyweight Title.  Raven told him Bret
Hart wouldn't lose the belt in Canada, and neither would he.  With the
falls counting anywhere, the two men battled all over the venue,
slamming each other into the barriers, chairs, and whatever else they
could get their hands on.  Jarrett went for his guitar, but Jeffrey
Scott took it away, and Raven landed a DDT out of the corner.  Raven
then set up a table in the corner.  Jarrett locked Raven in a
sleeperhold, but Raven fought out, smashing referee Scott into a corner
in the process.  Raven backed Jarrett through the table in the corner,
escaping the sleeper in the process.  After Jarrett recovered, he went
for his guitar again and swung at Raven, but Raven ducked, took the
guitar and hit Jarrett instead.  Raven went for the Evenflow, but out
came America's Most Wanted, who landed the Death Sentence on Raven,
giving Jarrett the 1-2-3.

SHOW NEWS & NOTES
NWA Pro Wrestling Express celebrated the company's 11th
Anniversary with a show that completely blew the roof off of the
Sportatorium, and already has had a lot of fans buzzing about what is
to come in the fall for the promotion.  Attendance was admittedly not
as high as last years' 10th Anniversary card, but with heavy
competition in town this night, it was still a great standing room
only crowd in the building.
The show started off with Dan Miles taking on Dash Bennett.  If
Miles lost,. he had to be Bennett's servant for 60 days; if Bennett
lost he was going to get a haircut.  Miles scored the big win on
Bennett after hitting what seems to be his pet move, a Sliced Bread
#2.  Afterwards Miles tangled Bennett up in between the top two ropes,
and just started taking chunks out of his hair with the clippers,
before Bennett got free and hightailed it to the lockerroom.
Bigg got a measure of revenge over Seth James and manager BC
Steele with a nice win.  James was in control of Bigg for most of the
match but when the "Stab Master Arsonist" started to come back Steele
got involved at ringside.  As Steele kept Bigg's attention James went
to nail Bigg from behind, but Bigg moved and Steele went down.  Bigg
then nailed James with a Pumphandle Slam to get the pinfall.
Daron Smythe finally got his match against BC Steele's charge
Devil Bhudakahn.  Although Smythe wanted a piece of both men, he would
have to settle only for Bhudakahn, as Bhudakahn publicly fired Steele
right before the bell rang.  This was a great back and forth match
that saw referee Harold Potter taken out from a clothesline by
Bhudakahn.  As Smythe hit his Yakuza kick to put Bhudakahn down CJ
Sensation ran in from the concession area and nailed Smythe with a
pair of brass knuckles.  Bhudakahn then nailed Smythe with a bridged
Father Nelson Suplex to get the win, and afterwards former tag team
partners Bhudakahn and Sensation celebrated with a beatdown of Smythe.
Devin Devine was back in the company of gold after stealing a win
from Nikita Allanov to win the Brass Knuckles Title.  Allanov
announced before the match that to keep Devine from weaseling his way
out of the match that it would be "anything goes".  Allanov quickly
went after Devine's back.  Devine made a comeback after a hotshot, and
went after Allanov's recently broken wrist.  Devine tried to get a
chair involved but Allanov managed to turn the tables and nail a
Russian Sickle on Devine and the chair, which busted Devine open a bit
and caused Allanov to really mess his arm up.  Devine pounced on the
injured arm, but couldn't get the Russian to quit.  Allanov battled
back and hit a Sickle, but there was not a lot behind it and Devine
kicked out.  Allanov tried to hook in his chokehold, but the weak arm
kept it from cinching in, allowing time for Crusher Hansen to nail
Allanov from behind with a chair.  Devin quickly made a half hearted
cover and got the pin and the title.
NWA-PWX Tag Team Champions Da Munchies and BC Steele were out
next, and they said that they couldn't pass up wrestling on the
anniversary show, and they just had to get their hands on someone,
anyone who would fight them for the titles.  But, since no one stepped
up, they said they would instead fight anyone in the building.
Brandon K and Quinn Magnum, who had been fired at the last event by
Scott Venom and Damian Stockholm, rushed the ring and a match was on.
K took both Trimmins and Hassan down with a big dive to the outside,
and then Magnum began brawling with Trimmins on the outside.  K got
Sheiky back in the ring and was working him over.  The match broke
down into a normal tag match for a little while with Trimmins & Hassan
taking out Magnum's legs and working them over, but K was right back
in the thick of things making the save for his partner.  The match
broke down again with Hassan working over K in the ring, and Trimmins
chopping Magnum down on the outside.  Trimmins went up to hit his Big
Dick Splash on K, but Magnum caught his foot and crotched him on the
top rope.  K hoisted Hassan up for an impressive K-Driver, but Hassan
kicked out and was then met by the 357 Magnum.  K quickly hit a diving
headbutt and got the pin.  After the match Scott Venom came out and
said that this was a complete joke because he fired both of these men,
but referee Shawn Patrick just handed them the belts, and Magnum & K
left with them thru the front door of the Sportatorium.
After intermission a still steaming Scott Venom was back out to
confront the Tri Chi Fraternity, who were accompanied by Trish.  Venom
said that if they thought that he was going to pick Brant as his
partner, they were stupid, and brought out his partner for the match -
Paul Atlas!  Venom and Atlas worked over Hammer for most of the match,
but the big man finally battled back and made the tag to Blitzz, who
started to completely clean house.  Hammer went back to the apron and
was quickly met by Devil Bhudakahn, who was ordering the team of
Armageddon to take him out.   Rapture and Revelation beat down Hammer
on the outside, which distracted Blitzz long enough for Atlas to nail
him with a DDT, and get the win for his team.  After the match Atlas
got the mic and said he was back, and he was pissed off.
Next up was the Three Rivers Title match, with Justin Idol
challenging Eric Extasy.  Earlier in the show's "Club Extasy" segment,
Idol hijacked the show to announce he was adding a valet, a returning
Jazzmyn Viktoria.  Extasy finally responded to Idol's goading by
coming out, and a brawl erupted.  The match picked up right where that
segment left off, and the two were going at it fast and furious.  In
what had to be considered a surprise, Extasy was outwrestling Idol,
which led to Idol cementing his status as a rulebreaker by getting a
chair and bringing it into the ring.   Idol busted Extasy wide open,
but still could not get a pinfall.  Idol brought a table into the
ring, but Extasy battled back and went for a big Powerbomb thru the
table, but Idol sandbagged Extasy, and grabbed the chair off the
canvas, and threw it into Extasy's face.  Idol then proceeded to take
Extasy apart with the chair, but still couldn't get the pinfall.  A
very frustrated Idol went up top and hit his frog splash, but as he
made the cover Extasy rolled him over and got the pinfall out of
nowhere to hang on to the title.  Extasy couldn't even stand after the
match, so Krystal Frost helped him up, but Idol got a bat from his
ring jacket and went to town on Extasy.  Frost tried to stop him, but
Viktoria gave her a DDT and she was down too.
The main event was next, and it was the first ever meeting in an
NWA ring between Chris Taylor and NWA-PWX Heavyweight Champion Scottie
Gash.  This match was a very smooth wrestling match, with Gash going
for his Spotlight drop early, and Taylor, who had Scott Venom as his
second, going for the diamondcutter.  This was a great back and forth
match, with both men pulling out all the stops.  Taylor nailed Gash
with a diamond cutter after about 10 minutes, and appeared to have won
the match, but as he made the three count Shawn Patrick caught Taylor
holding the ropes for leverage.  Taylor started to celebrate, but
Patrick ordered the match restrated, and gash fired up on Taylor.
Taylor wet up top and was going for a tornado DDT on Gash, but Gash
blocked it and climbed the ropes.  Taylor tried to escape and Gash
hoisted him up and gave him a massive powerbomb thru the table left at
ringside from the previous match.  Both men were slow to get up, but
Gash finally made a cover in the ring on Taylor, who kicked out.  Gash
went for a Spotlight Drop, but Taylor countered it into a
Diamondcutter, which Gash blocked, and took Taylor down into a
crossface submission.  Taylor held out, but finally tapped out, and
Gash retained the title.  Devin Devine, Justin Idol, and Crusher
Hansen hit the ring and started to pound on Gash, but Quinn Magnum,
Boomer Payne and Brandon K made the save, and Devine, Idol, Taylor,
Venom and Hansen bailed out.  Gash, Magnum, K and Payne stood tall in
the ring, when out of nowhere Payne hit Gash with a Dishonorable
Discharge.  Magnum and K had no clue what Payne was up to, and they
started to fight, but everyone was quickly back in the ring and it was
6-on-3.  Payne, who was already wearing a "987" shirt, motioned to the
others, who all took off their shirts, to reveal 987 shirts
underneath.  Payne said that 987 was back, and no one could do
anything to stop them.  Scott venom then got the mic and said that he
fired them all two weeks ago, and now he was going to do it again, and
he didn't care if they all had titles, he wanted them gone, and no one
was going to do anything to stop him.  Suddenly Mad Mike's music hit,
and the crowd popped, but it quickly went off and venom said that that
was a hilarious joke by the sound guy, but that Mike was not in the
building and that he was retired.  The music hit again and this time
Mad Mike came out, and the crowd went completely wild as he cleaned
house.  987 bailed to the outside, and Mike, Magnum, Gash and K were
left in the ring.  Venom continued to go off on the mic, but PWX
promoter and NWA Member Jim Miller came to ringside and told him to
shut the hell up. Miller told Venom that he thought he might have
stroke around here, but he didn't know anything, and pointed at the
ring and said you can't fire there guys.  Miller then walked to the
back with the microphone and said that he has made a lot of mistakes
while promoting shows, and he had often let the wrong people have his
ear.  He said he was going to correct that mistake right now, and came
back thru the curtain with a sack, and started tossing out t-shirts to
the men in the ring.  Miller said he had been waiting a long time for
this, and this time he knew which side was right, as the four men in
the ring donned RAGE t-shirts!!!  The crowd erupted and started
chanting "Rage" as the two groups stood off.  Mad Mike got the mic and
said that he didn't come all the way back to the ring on the
anniversary show just to cut a promo, and he wanted a piece of Crusher
Hansen right now.  Hansen got the mic and said that 987 was in the
house, and that if Mike wanted to play with fire, he was going to get
burned - referencing when Mike had his career ended by Boomer Payne
when he was sent thru a flaming table.  Hansen and Mike went at it and
the crowd continued to chant "Rage", and was louder then the
Sportatorium had been in years.  Hansen managed to fend off Mike, but
after Mike hit a big clothesline 987 hit the ring, and Rage followed
and a brawl once again broke out.  The locker room partially emptied
and the brawl raged on for a few minutes until Rage stood alone in the
ring together.  The four men held their hands up before they all
walked out of the front door together, shaking hands and greeting fans
along the way.
NWA Pro Wrestling Express also announced that their new website
would be up and functional by the end of the week, and could be

by pinfall to retail the titles (15:00)

8. AWA World Heavyweight Champion "King of Old School" Steve Corino
w/Ricky Landel defeated "Slick Diddy" Ric Converse by pinfall (38:45)

NOTES:

Ricky Landell got involved at ringside after referee Charles
Richardson was knocked out in the main event by stopping referee
Katie Kincaid from entering the ring to make the count when Converse
had Corino clearly pinned. Corino listened to the protests of the
fans at ringside following the decision and confronted Landel about
his role in the match, stating he might "grab a rope" on occassion
but that his finishes were always clean and decisive. Corino went on
to state publicly that due to those circumstance there would be no
barrier to Converse getting a rematch for the title.  He then told
Commissioner William L. Cross that the he will wrestle for free next
time and even pay for his own flight to CWF Mid-Atlantic to be able
to wrestle Ric Converse one more time for the title.  Corino then
presented Converse with the championship belt and declared him
the "Uncrowned World Heavyweight Champion." (see related story at
the end of this report)

Sean Powers attacked Ultra Dragon after his match, beating him with
the "Russian Chain."  The ring quickly filled up with other
competitors trying to stop the chaos, that was eventually brought
back under control after many of the wrestlers were thrown over the
top rope to the floor.  Commissioner Cross told the wrestlers to try
to wait until October 1st, when they will all have the opportunity
to fight it out in the ring at the 5th Annual CWF Rumble.

Cross went on to inform Sean Powers that he had been warned about
attacking anyone with the chain again and that this time there would
be no fines or suspensions, this time he was fired!  The crowd
seemed especially happy about this decision as Powers was ordered
from the building.

Mikael Yamaha declared that he was winning the Rumble this year even
after getting tossed over the top rope numerous times in his bout
with Matty Dee.

Mitch Connor brought the modern day Mid-Atlantic record of
successful title defenses to an end as he pinned Jesse Ortega to
capture the AWA Mid-Atlantic Televison Title.  Connor scored the
upset with he feet on the ropes providing the leverage to secure the
fall over Ortega.  After reaching the dressing room, Connor
announced that, "I just won the Mid-Atlantic TV Title and now I'm
going to Milwaukee to celebrate."

AWA Championship Coordinator Michael McAllister announced that
Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens would not take a back seat to Ric
Converse on this night.  Since he was originally scheduled to defend
the AWA Mid-Atlantic Hwt. Title, Stevens should be in the main
event.  Therefore McAllister rescheduled his title defense to next
Saturday in Henderson, NC so that Stevens will be in the main event
where he deserves to be and will face Rob "The Boogie Woogie Man"
McBride.

NEXT: CWF Mid Atlantic "The Road To The Rumble" outdoors at
Henderson NC's Raleigh Road Drive-In Saturday September 24th with a
special 5 pm belltime!

TEARS MARK CONTROVERSIAL WORLD TITLE DEFENSE IN BURLINGTON

The fans at the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC were
heartbroken yet still supportive of their local hero, "Slick Diddy"
Ric Convese, as he posed for photos holding the AWA World
Heavyweight Title belt.  Some fans still had tears in their eyes as
they looked upon Converse with the championship that he would soon
have to surrender back to his opponent for the night.

One fan that grabbed the microphone looked to be on his way to a
heart attack he was so upset by the interference of Corino's second
at ringside, Ricky Landell.  "He worked hard for this match and he
deserves the World Title!" he yelled over the house microphone as
everyone in the building agreed with their cheers.

He wasn't alone as fans and wrestlers all commented that Converse
has never looked better.  "That was one of the best matches ever
seen in the past five years of this promotion," commented
Commissioner William L. Cross.  "I am just as disappointed as the
fans in the outcome of this championship bout, but you can rest
assured that a rematch is being worked out and that next time, there
will be no outside interference."

Gemini Kid, head trainer of the CWF Mid-Atlantic gym noted, "Ric
Converse stepped it up for this match and now that it's over,
everyone can see that he's not just a star in the Mid-Atlantic, he's
a superstar that is destined to be the World Heavyweight Champion."

AWA World Heavyweight Champion, Steve Corino added, "Everyone saw
what just happened out there.  Converse took me to the limit for
nearly forty minutes.  I've guaranteed him a rematch and I'm a man
of my word.  He's the uncrowned world champion as far as I'm
concerned and he'll get another chance to add the crown.  But don't
think I won't be better prepared for him.  He's going to have to
fight that much harder if he thinks he's ever going to take this
title from me."

As Converse exited the arena to hand the title belt to Commissioner
William L. Cross, the magnitude of what had just occurred began to
sink in.  The uncrowned world champion commented, "Up until right
now I didn't really know if my dream could come true... it was only
a dream.  But after this, after having Corino pinned and the fans
counting the pinfall on two separate occasions, I know that I can
make this dream come true.  There are no more doubts.  And most of
all, Steve Corino knows my impossible dream can come true too."

The top ranked challenger went on to say, "I'm looking forward to
the rematch with Corino.  But I've got some unfinished business to
take care of right here and no one is going to stop me now."

Converse, who has been prevented by AWA Championship Coordinator
Michael McAllister from receiving any more Mid-Atlantic Hwt. Title
matches, now looks to one last hope of obtaining one, the 5th Annual
CWF Rumble on October 1st.
