NYWC CHAMPIONSHIP Jerry Lynn vs Matt "LSD" Hyson (c) Last month, the vacant NYWC Championship was put up for grabs in a 15-man over-the-top-rope extravaganza, the Battle for the Belt. After surprising everyone upon his entrance into the match, none other than hardcore icon Matt "LSD" Hyson emerged victorious after eliminating Dickie Rodz and Jerry Lynn in the final seconds of the match. The new NYWC Champion didn't have long to celebrate, however, as Jerry Lynn proceeded to abuse him with some choice words and a flurry of devastating chair shots to the skull. Now, Hyson will be seeking revenge against Lynn, and although the belt will be on the line, his focus will no doubt be to put Jerry Lynn in some serious pain. Of couse, Lynn will be looking to take the title back after losing it in late 2005, and he definitely won't be pulling any punches against one of the most resilient competitors in the business. This could very well be a classic! NYWC INTERSTATE CHAMPIONSHIP Josh Daniels vs Javi-Air (c) The long, slow rise rise to the top continues for Josh Daniels, one of the NYWC's most intense wrestlers, and for years, one of the least appreciated. However, Daniels has been making a strong push in recent months along with tag team partner Quiet Storm and in singles competition, and NYWC fans are finally taking notice. Last month, Daniels picked up yet another victory, this time at the expense of former NYWC Champion Jerry Lynn. In the wake of this impressive showing, Daniels has been granted a title shot, and on June 24, he will face the high-flying NYWC Interstate Champion, Javi-Air. It remains to be seen whether Daniels will be able to keep up with his young opponent, but if he truly wants to make an impact and become a player in the NYWC, he'll need to make the most of this golden opportunity. 3-WAY INTER-GENDER TAG TEAM MATCH Ken Scampi & Foxxy Dreams vs Disturbed Damien Dragon & Tara Charisma vs Dan Barry & Alicia After months of drama, it has come down to this... Foxxy Dreams will finally face off against her husband Damien Dragon in the squared circle... of course, an always-irate Ken Scampi will be her tag team partner, while Tara Charisma will be teaming up with Damien as she continues to help stoke the fires of jealousy. And if that's not enough, Dan Barry (Ken Scampi's former tag team partner) and Alicia (a fresh combustible element to the situation) will also be in the ring, as they team up to compete in this three-way powder keg of backstabbing, betrayal and anger. There's no telling what will happen, especially after Foxxy Dreams upped the ante by dousing Charisma with pepper spray last month. This is a time bomb waiting to go off, so don't miss a minute! TAG TEAM MATCH Mega & Joey Braggiol vs Angus Brothers w/ Prince Charles Last month, Prince Charles came to the ring with a major announcement to make... that his new clients were none other than Danny and Billy, the Angus Brothers! After making this news public and essentially putting out a challenge to the entire NYWC roster, Joey Braggiol answered the call and took on both of the Anguses in a handicap match. Despite his valiant effort, Joey couldn't overcome the odds, and was eventually pinned by Danny and Billy. Now, Braggiol's larger-than-life tag team partner will be back to even up the score, and the Angus Brothers will finally have the chance to prove if they are truly a team to be reckoned with. SINGLES MATCH Dickie Rodz w/ Crusher Doogan vs Maverick In his quest to once again put gold around his waist, "Superstar" Dickie Rodz ran into double trouble last month... specifically, Maverick and NYWC Interstate Champion Javi-Air, as they competed in an incredible three-way fight for the belt. On June 24, Rodz will have his chance to get even with Maverick, one of the two competitors that got in his way of glory. For Maverick, this will be a chance to prove that he can hang with the NYWC's elite... a victory over a two-time NYWC Champion would be a major boost for his career, and that alone is enough incentive to make Maverick pull out all the stops in this contest! SINGLES MATCH Mana w/ John Shane vs Havok On May 20, many fans were surprised to see Mana make his NYWC debut, as he displayed unrivaled dominance against his opponent, Oscar. But most fans would be even more shocked to see Papadon and Havok, members of The Solution (who have both been banned from competition in the NYWC), emerge from the crowd and assault Mana in the middle of the ring. Now, the man from the Wilds of New Zealand, along with his new manager John Shane, will go up against one of his temporarily reinstated assailants, Havok, in a one-on-one confrontation that will undoubtedly feature a heaping helping of pain!
