OPPONENT HAS BEEN CHANGED FOR THE MEMPHIS SHOW ON 4/27

…..

Hulk Hogan will still be wrestling in Memphis on April 27, but it won't be the heavily hyped match against Jerry Lawler.

Lawler was pulled by the WWE because of  "contractual difficulties."  It's really a shame this match can't take place, Lawler is the "KING" of Memphis.

The problem is because VH1 plans on taping the match for the Hogan Show, "Hogan Knows Best".  That would make it impossible for Lawler to be a part of the match.

But the show will still be taking place, with Paul Wight as Hogan's opponent.  Paul, formerly known as The Big Show said, he lost some weight and is in good shape and looking forward to the match.

HULK HOGAN vs. PAUL WIGHT

April 27, 2007

FEDEX FORUM - 191 Beale Street, Memphis, TN.

Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, April 14th..

The Golden Circle Ringside tickets will include a meet and greet with everyone on the show including Hogan.  It was also announced that Sam's Town Casino will be giving out free $20 slot machine cards to the first 5,000 fans in attendance.

As much as I'm sure Hogan vs. Lawler would have been a huge match, I personally feel Hogan vs. Paul Wight will be a stronger match.
They only have two weeks to sell tickets, in a larger venue, it will be interesting to see how they do.
