Hello Wrestling Fans;

Here is a quick report on the book signing that took place at the Paragraph bookstore in Montreal yesterday. The title is ''Accepted! How the first gay superstar changed WWE'' and is tells the life and times of one of the most influential wrestler of the past 50 years, none other than Montreal's own, Pat Patterson!

I was privileged once again to be friend with the author Bertrand Hébert, since my afternoon started with the 3 of us sharing a drink! After chatting for almost an hour, we were all chauffeured to the bookstore. The actual signing was delayed for 30 minutes because City TV and RDS wanted to film interviews with the first InterContinental champion.

At 6h30, Patterson arrived to the signing desk, and was greeted by reporters, fans, family and other wrestler, like former WWE tag team champion Sylvan, who was broken in the business by Pat. Former Montreal Expos announcer Rodger Brulotte also was on hands to shoot pictures for his chronicle in le Journal de Montreal, the biggest newspaper here. The turnout was good, and Pat posed for photos with everybody, shared stories and signed autographs all evening. He was all smiles and seemed to really have a good time.

After the signing there was some more interviews before we called it a night. As usual, another great experience with one of wrestling's biggest legend.

I had the chance to read the whole book this week, and I highly recommend it. Like Bertrand and Pat said themselves, it is a story about love; love for the business and love of human beings. And what about the pictures, most I had never seen before, are absolutely awesome.

Thanks for reading!

Frank
