This past Sunday, September 25th, New England Championship Wrestling presented SUPERSLAM 2, another pro wrestling doubleheader event at Good Time Emporium in Somerville, MA.

Both the afternoon & evening events were eventful, as NECW President, Sheldon Goldberg stripped "The Pinnacle" Paul Lombardi of the NECW Heavyweight Championship following the afternoon main event due to both men in the match attacking the officials.  Goldberg also announced that the winner of the forthcoming IRON 8 Championship Tournament on October 14 & 15 will be declared the NECW Heavyweight Champion.  In the main event of the evening show, Natalia defeated Mercedes Martinez in a wild brawl to become the 2nd NECW Women's Champion.
