RICKY MORTON NEEDS OUR HELP

This site was created to help one of the most talented, charismatic wrestlers of all time 1/2 of the legendary Rock & Roll Express ... Ricky Morton.

For the past 30+ years Ricky has put his body on the line to entertain the fans, giving his all for a sport he loves. Now we are asking all of Ricky's fans to join several of his co-workers
in support of helping Ricky out of a bad personal situation.

As many of you know Ricky is currently jailed in Murfreesboro, TN and will not be released until we can raise $74,465 in his behalf. Ricky is not a dead beat dad, he's just a victim of adverse circumstances beyond his control. The children in question in this case are 23, 20 and 17 and the case is being prosecuted by the state of TN., not Ricky's fist wife.

Ricky is the primary care taker of his four year old son Terry James. This little boy is currently with his grandparents and missing his daddy more than words can describe.
Anyone who has ever seen Ricky at a live event has probably seen little "Moto" with him.
It's very apparent that Ricky loves his son very much. Even if you don't agree with Ricky's innocence please take this little boy's life into consideration.
The best place for Terry James is with his daddy.

Ricky has also been waging a battle outside the ring with Lupus. This often debilitating disease as Ricky on several medications. We are worried that his condition will get progressively worse if he doesn't receive proper medical treatment.

Several of Ricky's friends and co-workers have generously donated items to our auction.
All proceeds from the auctions and profits of the merchandise sales will go directly to Ricky's dad, Paul Morton, to help get Ricky released from jail and reunited with his son.

If you have any wrestling memorabilia that you would like to donate please E-Mail us!

All contributions will be greatly appreciated so please check out the auctions and merchandise.
Ricky needs your help, no amount is too small or too large.

Donations will be accepted in check or money orders payable to Paul Morton
or online thru
PayPal using the email address [email protected]

Former wrestling heartthrob arrested on child support warrant

BRISTOL, Tenn. - A Bristol resident who packed arenas in the 1980s as one-half of the professional wrestling tag team The Rock-N-Roll Express is currently being held in Rutherford County for failure to pay child support.

According to information from law enforcement officials, Rickey Wendell Morton, 49, of 3357 Avoca Road, Bristol, was taken into custody on Oct. 14 by deputies with the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

According to a source close to the situation, Morton had failed to pay child support to his former wife, Constance Lynn Morton, as part of a September 1991 divorce settlement.

The tag-team wrestler was employed by World Championship Wrestling, a company once owned by CNN founder Ted Turner and whose copyrights are now controlled by World Wrestling Entertainment, at the time of the 1991 suit, which lists the couple having three children at the time of the divorce hearing in the Chancery Court of Rutherford County.

The children are currently ages 23, 20 and 17.

The source also stated that Morton reportedly owed his wife nearly $73,000 in back payments for child support.

Once he was taken into custody, he was transported to the Sullivan County Justice Center in Blountville, where he remained in custody until deputies from Murfreesboro could travel to Blountville and pick him up on Oct. 15.

Morton and partner Robert Gibson were a popular tag team in the National Wrestling Alliance and World Championship Wrestling during the 1980s and early 1990s, and had a successful run in the Smoky Mountain Wrestling promotion.

Currently, he had been participating in several independent professional wrestling shows in the Tri-Cities, the Carolinas and other parts of the United States.

Morton remains jailed under bail stipulation terms handed down by the judge in Rutherford County that he pay the child support payments in full.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 28.
