September 18th: New ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson will make his first title defense during ROH's Cleveland debut on 10/14 when he faces old rival and former ROH World Champion Austin Aries. If Danielson retains on 10/14, he will defend against Steve Corino on 10/15 in Buffalo. Danielson vs. Corino will happen in Buffalo whether the title is on the line or not. We will have much more on these two matches and Bryan Danielson soon. Tickets for both shows are now on sale at ROHwrestling.com, by calling 215-781-2500 and at Ticketmaster outlets. General admission tickets for both shows can now be purchased for just $10 at ROHwrestling.com, but act now because this sale only lasts until 9/21.

September 18th: The six qualifying matches for "Survival Of The Fittest 2005" have been announced for this Saturday's event in the Boston area when ROH returns to the Dorchester Armory just a minute off I-93. Tickets for this show are on sale for just $10 now at ROHwrestling.com. However, the $10 offer will only last until tomorrow so act fast to get cheap tickets. The winners of the six qualifying matches will advance to a Six Man Elimination main event with the victor winning "Survival Of The Fittest 2005." The six qualifying matches are: Austin Aries vs. Jimmy Rave, Colt Cabana vs. Ricky Reyes, James Gibson vs. Christopher Daniels, Roderick Strong vs. Jerrelle Clark, Sal Rinauro vs. Jay Lethal and Samoa Joe vs. Milano Collection AT. In addition to all this action there will be a clash of champions as Nigel McGuinness defends the Pure Title vs. ROH Tag Team Champion BJ Whitmer!!!

September 18th: Former ROH World Champion James Gibson told ROH officials that he will be on all his future advertised appearances. Gibson will still face Christopher Daniels this Saturday in Boston in a dream match that might only happen once. ROH officials told Gibson out of respect that he could pick his opponents for his final two shows since Gibson was such a huge contributor to ROH this year. ROH wants to give Gibson one more chance to perform with no limits and restrictions. Gibson has decided to wrestle his former Jung Dragons teammate Jimmy Yang on 10/1 in Manhattan!!! We will have word on who Gibson will face in his final ROH match on 10/2 in Philly in tomorrow's ROHwrestling.com Newswire.

September 18th: Jay Lethal's victory over Low Ki last Saturday has earned him a shot at becoming Pure Champion again. Lethal is set to challenge Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness on 10/1 in Manhattan. Of course, McGuinness has to first make it past BJ Whitmer on 9/24 in Boston.

September 18th: Colt Cabana vs. Homicide in a No DQ match has been signed for ROH's return to Long Island on 11/19. Also signed are Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Austin Aries, Roderick Strong and many more to be announced.

September 18th: Lacey was trying to make some business deals backstage at last Saturday's event and she seemed very happy with her dealings.

September 18th: Samoa Joe has stated that he wants to make a run at the ROH Tag Titles. Joe is a former ROH World and Pure Champion. He wants the Tag Titles so he can go down in history as the first and only man to hold all the ROH titles. Before Joe can go after the Tag Titles he will be faced with Kenta Kobashi and a grudge Pure Title match vs. Nigel McGuinness on 10/15 in Buffalo.

September 18th: There was a lot of talk in the locker room last night about who would be named as ROH's authority figure. Guesses ranged from Lance Storm to Bill Apter. ROH will reveal the new authority figure live in Philadelphia at the 10/2 event.


September 19th: James Gibson said he can't wait to wrestle Christopher Daniels this Saturday when ROH finally returns to Boston. This is a first time ever singles dream match that might not ever happen again. ROH officials have made this the main event of the qualifying matches for "Survival Of The Fittest 2005." September 19th: James Gibson is set to wrestle his last match in ROH on October 2nd in Philadelphia. ROH officials want Gibson to select his opponent so he can make this a very special match. Gibson has picked Roderick Strong. This might seem like an odd choice on the surface. Not many people know this and it has never been publicized, but Gibson has taken Strong on as a protege since their "Best Of American Super Juniors" match. Gibson has really helped Strong by giving him lots of advice. Gibson and Strong battled in an epic ROH World Title match in FIP earlier this month. Now Gibson wants to wrestle Strong in his last ROH appearance to see what his protege has learned. It will be Gibson vs. Strong on October 2nd when ROH returns to the National Guard Armory in Philadelphia!!!

September 19th: Austin Aries has stated that this Saturday's "Survival Of The Fittest" in the Boston area is a very special night for him. Last year's "Survival Of The Fittest" saw Aries have his breakout performance in losing to Bryan Danielson in the finals. It was the match that put Aries on the map as a singles competitor. However, he has been haunted by that loss for a year. Now Aries feels he can exorcise that ghost by winning "Survival Of The Fittest 2005" on 9/24. September 19th: New ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson has been added to the 10/29 Woodbridge, 11/4 Detroit and 11/5 Chicago events. Danielson hopes to bring stability to the title with classic title defenses on all these shows. September 19th: ROH officials have determined that one of the first orders of business for the new authority figure will be to bring stability to the contender situation. This summer in ROH has been very tumultuous as havoc has broken out over who gets title shots. We have seen the emphasis on challenges made, belts stolen, ultimatums set with less and less emphasis on actual wins and losses. Now ROH officials want to make sure that wins and losses are the ONLY things that matter when determining challengers for the belts. There has been talk of bringing the Top 5 Rankings or #1 Contender's Trophy back. ROH officials will sit down with the new authority figure on October 3rd to try to resolve this situation. The authority figure will be announced on 10/2 at the Philly event.
