May 9th: ROH Commissioner Jim Cornette wants to squash any rumors before they start. Cornette sent this message along: "I have verbally agreed to a limited number of TNA dates. This will not interfere with my Ring Of Honor commitments. I am committed to Ring Of Honor dates throughout this year and beyond. I look forward to helping ROH grow well into the future,"- Jim Cornette.May 9th: ROH returns to Edison, NJ at the Inman Sports Center this Saturday, May 13th, with a huge card. ROH Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness has stated that he will defend the belt against only the best pure wrestlers. He has accepted the challenge of Alex Shelley of The Embassy for Saturday. This will be one of Nigel's toughest defenses yet as Shelley is a very innovative pure wrestler. May 9th: Matt Sydal is determined to defeat Christopher Daniels this Saturday in Edison before heading to Dragon Gate for an extended tour. Sydal saw how Jack Evans won his final ROH match back on 4/1 before going to Dragon Gate so he knows the importance of leaving the promotion with momentum. Daniels has defeated Sydal all four times they have met, each time with a different finish. However, each match saw Sydal come closer to victory. All the contests have been great athletic matches. Will this Saturday be the night that Sydal finally achieves that breakthrough victory?
May 9th: Jay & Mark Briscoe are primed to win the ROH Tag Titles on Saturday from Austin Aries & Roderick Strong in the first epic meeting between these teams in an official match. The winner of this one can call themselves the best team in the business. This is going to be as good as it gets tag team wrestling.
May 9th: Prince Nana is demanding that Jimmy Rave defeat and destroy Jimmy Yang on Saturday. Nana wants revenge for when Yang's mentor, Bruce Leroy, kicked him in the face back in March. This will be one of your last chances to see Yang compete on the underground wrestling scene. Nana and Rave know that if they are going to get revenge on Yang, it has to be soon.
May 9th: We have not heard anything from Homicide or his camp about Jim Cornette's plea in ROH Video Recap #6 now at ROHvideos.com. Cornette's message must be seen as he tries to appeal to Homicide and get him to join ROH's side in the war against CZW.
May 9th: ROH Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness issued a petition to the ROH offices this week. McGuiness claims he should be entitled to choose a partner and go after the Tag Titles since he has defeated both Aries & Strong in singles matches. ROH will have a ruling on this next week if Aries & Strong are still champions.
