SHIMMER 96-99 WEEKEND IS ALMOST HERE!

We’re just one day away from kicking off another huge weekend of live women’s professional wrestling in the Chicagoland area! Three days of live events are scheduled for this weekend, all at the Berwyn Eagles Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL! Tickets are on sale at www.SHIMMERwrestling.com.

It all begins this Friday, November 10th with RISE 5 – RISING SUN, with an 8:00 PM bell time. The event marks the one year anniversary of the debut of the RISE concept, which is developing tomorrow’s women athletes. During the day on Friday, a class of rising stars in the world of women’s professional wrestling will participate in a World Class Development Seminar with WWE Hall of Famer Madusa (aka Alundra Blayze) and a joshi legend. The top prospects from the seminar will go on to compete during the evening’s live event. The main event features Phoenix of RISE Champion Shotzi Blackheart defending against Britt Baker, “Fallen Flower” Kikyo, Delilah Doom, Dust, and Deonna Purrazzo. Many of the SHIMMER regulars will also be a part of Friday night’s card, including Heart of SHIMMER Champion Shazza McKenzie, two of the visiting talents from Japan, and more. Also in action on Friday will be Taya Valkyrie and Thunder Rosa, who are are exclusive to the Friday show this weekend. In addition to the RISE 5 live event, there will be a VIP Meet & Greet at 6:30 PM, which includes photo & autograph opportunities. This Saturday & Sunday, November 11th & 12th, SHIMMER Women Athletes will present SHIMMER 96-99! Bell time on Saturday is 2:00 PM, with the pre-show matches beginning at 1:30 PM. Bell time on Sunday is Noon, with the pre-show matches beginning at 11:30 AM. Two full length volumes in the SHIMMER video series will be filmed during each day of taping, which means over 5 hours of live matches each day! Over thirty-five of the top female professional wrestlers from around the world will be a part of the festivities.

Among the competitors who will be a part of the SHIMMER 96-99 events: SHIMMER Champion Mercedes Martinez, SHIMMER Tag Team Champions Tessa Blanchard & Vanessa Kraven, Heart of SHIMMER Champion Shazza McKenzie, Phoenix of RISE Champion Shotzi Blackheart, Mia Yim, Cheerleader Melissa, Candice LeRae, Nicole Savoy, Courtney Rush (aka Rosemary), Dust, Jessicka Havok, Leva Bates, Saraya Knight, Delilah Doom, Ashley Lane (aka Madison Rayne), Deonna Purrazzo, Britt Baker, Chelsea Green, LuFisto, Solo Darling, Veda Scott, Hudson Envy, Kellyanne, Samantha Heights, Rachael Ellering, Marti Belle, Ivelisse, Thunderkitty, Charli Evans, Jessica Troy, Allysin Kay (11/12 only), Zoe Lucas, Aoi Kizuki, plus three more top stars from Japan, and more still to be announced! Due to the small size of the Berwyn Eagles Club, we strongly recommend the purchase of tickets in advance to guarantee admission on the chance of a sellout. Advance ticket orders will be held at the door to be claimed on the day of the event. A handful of first row reserved and second row reserved seats are still up for grabs. Get ’em while you can! Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of each show, until venue capacity is reached.
