…
I just received a call from Dave Meltzer informing me that Waldo Von Erich passed away. I remember vividly his encounters with Bruno Sammartino on the East Coast. I have added some Waldo Von Erich memorabilia from my Bruno Sammartino Record Book. Sorry some of the pictures aren't very clear. There is an amazing photo of Bruno vs. Waldo Von Erich, I believe taken in Philly with referee Jim Morrison, later becoming JJ Dillon. Such great memories.
Our deepest sympathy to his family, friends and fans.

In storyline, Lance Von Erich in the 80s was said to be the son of Waldo, who also teamed with Fritz in Texas. He was best known in the WWWF as a frequent rival of Bruno Sammartino.
