On July 8th in Streamwood, IL starting at 3 pm until 5 pm. Scott D' Amore head booker for TNA is offering a camp to all. This is a great opportunity for local talent to be seen, and evaluated by Scott. Anyone from the beginner to those that feel they're ready to make the jump to TNA should make plans to attend. Scott D'Amore's name is known the world over in the wrestling community. He
has carved out a solid reputation for himself competing all over the globe
for TNA, WCW, WWE, ECW, WAR, World Wrestling All-Stars, Border City
Wrestling, Midwest Territorial Wrestling, World Wrestling Alliance, and
Atlantic Grand Prix, among others, in countries like Japan, England, Germany, and the US
As an active wrestler, he preferred to stick to the mat with a very
accomplished technical and submission-style wrestling. D'Amore names Irish
Mickey Doyle, Al Snow, "The Masked Assassin" Jody Hamilton, Arn Anderson and
Chief Jay Strongbow as his key influences.
In addition to to taking on a career in wrestling, Scott D'Amore was a
regular on the Windsor Lancers CIAU football team as a noseguard and long
snapper. D'Amore also dabbled in shootfighting. Despite both alternatives,
he often refers to wrestling as his "first love."
A native of Windsor, Ontario, D'Amore operates Border City Wrestling, and is
the owner and head trainer of the Can-Am Wrestling School. The school's
premier graduates include TNA Superstars Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, Petey
Williams, and former ECW/WWE and current TNA Superstar Rhyno(Rhino).
Choosing to go beyond on-camera appearances, D'Amore's experience and
expertise is also well-honed backstage. He has successfully performed
virtually every behind-the-scenes duty for various promotions, including
producing the BCW television show off and on for several years, providing
on-air commentary, and booking enhancement talent for the then-active WCW.
Scott D'Amore is currently employed by TNA, in an on-air managerial role, as
well as being the Head of the TNA creative Staff behind the scenes. He also
along with Terry Taylor heads up most of the scouting for new talent for
TNA.
Back by popular demand...the Professional Girl Wrestling Association returns to Tennessee, bringing some of the very best in women's pro wrestling!
The PGWA's roster will be packed with talent, including PGWA World Champion Nikki Roxx, former World's Strongest Woman Christina Dutkowski, the legendary Peggy Lee Leather, and making her North American debut, German star Baroness Simone.
Other stars on the cards will include: Maria Montana, Passion, Tennessee State Champ Susan Morton, Mickie Knuckles, Brittany Love and MsChif.
On Friday, June 9, the PGWA will be working in conjunction with the United States Wrestling Organization. Their "Nashville Bash" live show will be held at the Stadium Inn, 10 Interstate Drive in Nashville. Tickets are $10.00 per person, and bell time is 8:00 PM. And on Saturday, June 10, the PGWA and the Columbia Wrestling Alliance will team-up for "Columbia Clash" at Grand Slam USA, 707 Lion Parkway in Columbia. Tickets are $7.00 general admission, $8.00 ringside. Bell time is 8:00 PM. Tickets may be reserved in advance by calling 931-388-0654.
Both cards will also feature exciting men's matches, featuring the best of the USWO and CWA rosters!
Both shows will be television tapings, so be ready to get rowdy and have a great time! Rated G for 'Gruntingly Great', and suitable for the entire family.
The PGWA is based in North Carolina, but has promoted cards and matches throughout the United States, as well as in Mexico, Great Britain and Germany. Founded in 1992, the PGWA's aim is to preserve and promote quality "Classic Style" women's wrestling.
