On Wednesday, another two episodes of WWE Presents Madison Square Garden Classics will air on the MSG Network starting at 8 p.m. ET. “Mean” Gene Okerlund invites our fans once again to join him in looking back at some of the most memorable events to ever emanate from the World’s Most Famous Arena.

The first episode rewinds back to May 25, 1983. Two legendary title matches took place this night when Bob Backlund defended his WWE Championship against Sgt. Slaughter, and Rocky Johnson got an opportunity to take the gold off Magnificent Don Muraco. Also, “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka faced off against Afa of the Wild Samoans.

On the second episode of Classics, airing at 9 p.m. ET, the Garden witnessed three more championships hang in the balance on Nov. 24, 1987. The Glamour Girls and The Jumping Bomb Angels went head-to-head for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles; Strike Force and The Hart Foundation battled it out over the WWE Tag Team Championships; and the evening’s main event – a classic confrontation between Honky Tonk Man and “Macho Man” Randy Savage for the Intercontinental gold.

Take a break from the heat as “Mean” Gene welcomes you to join him this and every Wednesday night throughout the summer on MSG as WWE Presents Madison Square Garden Classics.
