Brand new Custom Countdown!

Welcome WF'ers and WF onlookers, to the return of the Custom Countdown! Here we will countdown the best 5 Customs of September 2005! With the help of our Forum Community, I have been able to select this months countdown. Enjoy the countdown...

#5 Austin Aries by jsh

This figure is excellent from top to bottom. The head is modded quite well from the plain Heidenriech head. The part selection is near perfection as the shorts tights mold really work for Aries in a mid match type look. The figure however is missing kneepads, and the sideburns are a bit too thick to make this figure a #1. Still a great job, and we can only hope for more good things to come from jsh.

# 4 Jody Fleisch and Jonny Storm by Vampyromaniac

These two figures are great. They are of two of the best independant wrestlers in the UK and really done quite nicely. As you can see from their reference pictures, the heads are nearly dead on. The lack of detail shown in the pictures are constantly don't push Vampyromaniac into a top spot on this countdown. The only thing I really can complain about is the sculpting of the abs on Fleisch, just a bit odd. Otherwise, they are two excellent works and we can also only hope to see more solid work in the future.

#3 Honky Tonk Man by Adam

This figure is just great. Flawless painting. The figure's simplicity is what pushes it down on the scale. Still Adam has been #1 in the past, and there is no doubt he will be Customs bright future for years to come.

#2 Shawn Michaels by Rastaman

This is an excellent figure, I would easily say Rastaman's best. The attire is done quite flawlessly, and I love the parts selection. The top is your standardized HBK mold, with a Cruserweight Torso and arms, meanwhile the lower portion is TTL. In my opinion this makes the figure so much better. The legs are not so close together that mere movement would chip the paint. Instead it makes the figure quite playable, and adds to its poseability. Congrats on making the CC for the first time!

#1 Rob Van Dam by CMD

This Rob Van Dam custom is simply excellent. It is featured in the new TNA Toybiz format and it is safe to say is probably the best Toybiz custom to date. The paintjob is pretty much flawless. The skintone painting is quite nicely mixed and makes you really want to see more customs in this format. It is always great to see new RVD customs, something the board has been lacking since he was released so many times. Congrats to our MOD, CMD!
