Hulk Hogan

‘Whatcha gonna do?’ Whatcha gonna do without this figure? This is one of my favorite Hogan’s to date, right next to the CS 8 one. With this Hogan, Jakks has now given us the equivalent of the old R3 Tech “Hulk Still Rules” boxed set. I love the tye-dye look on the pants of this figure. Jakks really nailed it. The detail on the boots is amazing. The additions of the boas, the new weight belt and the removable cloth shirt make this figure hard to pass up. The one thing I don’t like is the use of the old Hogan head, I think the new CS 8 now Hogan head would have fit perfectly.

Overall grade: A+

HBK Shawn Michaels

This figure can hold it’s own against the Hogan released with it. Jakks did a great job on the pants; they finally added all of the details including the broken hearts on the sides. I’m glad Jakks added his tattoo as well, most of Shawn’s previous figures where missing his tattoo. I love the new Shawn headscan, I think it perfectly fits him and the hair sculpt is great. There are two things I don’t like, one being the lack of chest hair, the other being I think that the ‘sweat pant mold’ for the legs is too baggy, but at the same time, the jeans mold used on the other figures seems too tight. Jakks needs to come up with a better pant mold for Shawn. Also, it should have the articulation of the new Cena (RA 16.5/ AD 15) and Rey (AD 15) legs.

Overall grade: A-
