Jakks Pacific’s Jeremy Padawer to be inducted

Jeremy Padawer, Executive Vice President of Marketing at Jakks Pacific will be inducted into the ToyFare Magazine Hall of Fame on Friday June 11th at the Philadelphia Comic Con.

Jeremy Padawer is responsible for the Golden Age of wrestling figures.  Since Jeremy joined Jakks in 2003 and took over the WWE figure line, it became the 2nd most popular boys action figure franchise under his watch, right behind Star Wars.

Jeremy Padawer’s biggest contribution to the wrestling figure world was the creation and development of the WWE Classic Superstars line.  The Classic Superstars line was an instant hit with collectors and allowed WWE fans young and old to relive their favorite memories of the past.  The overnight success of the Classic Superstars line demonstrated to WWE the untapped potential of it’s own history and inspired many new Legends products and initiatives such as WWE Classics on Demand, the WWE Legends Program, etc.

Today Jeremy Padawer is responsible for marketing, product development, new business, intellectual property development, and entertainment content development for JAKKS, including Girls, Dolls, Activities, Preschool, Vehicles, Seasonal, Construction, Boys Entertainment, Collector and Interactive.

Padawer joined JAKKS in 2003 and lead a massive resurgence of the Boys Entertainment Brand Marketing Division worldwide from 2003-2010. Padawer was responsible for the business management and product development of all action figure and collectible brands, including World Wrestling Entertainment, Ultimate Fighting Championship, Pokémon, Club Penguin, Dragonball Z, and new initiatives with Lucas, Marvel and Warner Bros. Padawer began his toy career in the mid-1990’s creating one of the first online networks for buying/selling collectibles and toy products. Padawer joined Mattel in 2000 and worked in Brand Management on Hot Wheels and then Boys Entertainment Branded properties, including He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Nickelodeon brands. Padawer received his BA in Psychology & Business from The University of Texas (1996), his JD from the University of Tennessee, and his MBA at Vanderbilt University with a concentration in Marketing.
