First off I would like to say "Rest In Piece Rowdy Roddy Piper" who was originally scheduled to attend this event. I've attended several of these "Big Events", so I would like to pass along my experience for whomever may consider going next time.

Whenever I've attended The Big Event at the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel there has never been any parking, do yourself a favor and try and get there early, between all the fire hydrants and drive ways, your looking at a few blocks to walk. After I finally found parking I made my way to venue, the lobby was already packed with loyal wrestling fans, I waited fifteen to twenty minutes to purchase general admission tickets which cost five dollars extra the day of the event compared to the regular preorder price online, my suggestion do yourself a favor and purchase your general admission and talent meet and greet tickets online. It will save you a huge headache and some money.

Once I purchased my ticket I turned around and made my way to Bret Hart's line, he was in a room off to the side with several other talent, I must admit I didn't have wait to long to meet Bret, I would say maybe fifteen minutes at best, Bret was in good spirits, I mentioned to him how difficult it was to find the defining moments figure for him to sign which he replied it was one of his favorite figures they ever made of him because of the significance of the event. I also told Bret that I was looking forward to his brother Owen's DVD next month, he told me that he looks forward to seeing the final product base on the restrictions they had to work with do to Owen's widow.

After I meet Bret I made my way to the main room where I wanted to meet the members of The Four Horsemen and have they sign my DVD, I meet Ric Flair a few months back an he autographed the DVD for me, so I figured what a better time to get everyone to sign it then at The Big Event, once I made my way into the main area there was no room to move, the entire room was packed and without any air conditioning you can only imagine the smells coming from that room, this is where all the chaos started, there was no rhyme or reason for meeting talent, people were pushing and shoving just to get in front of the "line" this was beyond unorganized, people were trying to take group photos with the members of The Four Horsemen while others were just simply trying to get a autograph like myself. Finally after a few swift moves I made my way to Barry Windham, he signed the DVD first and was very nice to me after that I slid to the right to meet J.J. Dillon, I must admit I was disappointed as J.J. never once acknowledged me, he didn't even extend his hand to shake mine as he was to busy telling Barry a story about when he was at the office and that "Vince, Stephanie, and Triple H" we're all in the room with him.? I then moved over to Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson, who both greeted me but didn't seem to be to thrilled to be at the event.

I then made my way out of the room which felt like a sauna and went into the small hallway/lobby where I meet the TNA Tag Team Champions and one of my favorite tag teams The Wolves Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards, both these gentlemen were extremely nice and very humble, they greeted me and I mentioned to them what a pleasure it was to finally meet them and have my two Ring Of Honor DVDs signed by them, they thanked me and allowed me to hold their tag team championships while we took a photo.

I then made my way to the TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim who is absolutely beautiful when you see her in person, she was very nice and I was able to take a photo with her.

Finally I meet someone I've always wanted to all these years and that was the Boogeyman, he is definitely one of the nicest people I've ever meet, he took the time to ask me my name and tell me what a pleasure it was to meet me, he even thanked me for coming out.

In all I had a good time meeting the wrestlers, my only complaints would have to be, such a huge event like this should have better security and a much better system in place. If your planning on attending one of these "Big Events" in the future just make sure you give yourself enough time to find parking and brace yourself for all the chaos once inside. It's very unorganized and when you make your way into the main lobby security is basically nowhere to be found.

Thanks David
